The staff contacted me to double check my booking. I had asked if a breakfast bag could be made as we were leaving early. They were more than accommodating. A nearby hotel was offering a room with two single beds for a little cheaper but knowing the quality of service and the fact we could have double beds at this property, it is more than worth it.

The location was perfect for us, we could easily walk into Pickering and was central for us to explore. The hosts were friendly even offering us a lift into town.

We did not like the wet room as a bathroom was a nightmare flooded the whole thing and then floor was so wet to use the toilet. Also the bed was very firm. Also the place needs a little TLC attention to detail with cleanliness. Weeds in tea garden, painting, and some general maintenance.

We only didn't like the colour of the chairs at breakfast room and dinning room at the bar section , they are very dark colour The room was clean but the stains on the chair in front of dressing table wasn't nice, also there was a small bottle under the bed and crisps in the drawer

There were problems of access and parking after a long drive, even though I arrived within one hour of check in start time. Had to park both days/nights in nearby public car park at 2 x £13 - more expensive than hotel parking charge.

The jacuzzi wasn’t working. The swimming pool and gym should be open until 9pm. When I ran a bath in my room the hot water wasn’t hot enough. The massage prices are expensive for the minutes allowed
