The standard of the accommodation was excellent with thoughtful little touches such as complimentary toiletries, water and even biscuits cooked by the chef. There was plenty of teas, coffee etc in the room unlike other places I’ve stayed that normally restrict you to one tea or coffee each! All of the staff were warm and friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. The food in the restaurant was delicious. We ate there in the evening as well as for breakfast. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend to others.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property. Just one thing to note is that getting a taxi to go out in the evening is quite expensive due to the location. We drove in the end so this wasn’t an issue for us.

The location was superb for a few days mountain biking. Kirroughtree trails literally a short ride up the hill and a short drive to Glentrool. Secure Bike storage at the back of the property, with power points for charging were really helpful.

Not a lot. You get what pay for and in this case it's a well priced room in the ideal location. If you want luxury look elsewhere, if you want a comfortable convenient room for the night it's great.

No way to close the window securely.. A walk to shared bathrooms. Staff not sure about how to get on after hours.
