The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The hotel is in a lovely location in the heart of Dornoch. It is a beautiful castle building with attractive garden. The staff were lovely - and very helpful including afterwards - sending me an item I had left in the room. The food choice in the restaurant was excellent - we had a great evening meal and breakfast.

Many of the rooms are in a more contemporary extension at the back of the property and these lack the character of the main hotel. The rooms could benefit from some upgrading but were fine for our one night stay.

The staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was very nice too. Not sure what to expect as we booked last minute but it was better than expected in terms of the size of the room.

Only down side was single glazed windows as the location is quite close to the centre, so if you get the drunks coming down the street, you don't get much sleep.

Is described as accessible. The only accessible thing is the entrance. Not accessible: Shower- showerhead from the ceiling, no hose, no rails- for a wheelie unusable Sink in the bathroom- so extremly high, tooth brushing only with water from the bottle possible, washing complicated Toilet way to low, no railings Bed- has rolls which can not be arreted, that means it moves easily, super for wheelies when getting in Kitchen- unusable for wheelchair users. Normal hight, dishes overhead, sink, watter kettle etc unreachable. We booked it because of the accessibility. I even asked ahead if there were any obstacles. Contact with host rather strange. We stayed 2 nights, for storing the luggage because we arrived in the morning, she took 10 pounds (????), and asked 3!!!! times wheter I had left them in cash. Door of the attic was not zu lock. When leasing she expected us to clean the place. The place itself is not really clean but towels and bed was fresh. Very expansive for what we got. Far from train station.

Breakfast was ready simple and low quality, there wasn’t enough towels in the room, left was not working. I would not recommend it to anyone 👎🏻
