Quirky, eclectic but the place is bursting with enthusiasm. Breakfast with the squirrels and jay was uplifting. As a non-vegetarian I have to say that breakfast was very tasty.

Don't know where to start. They offer check-in from 3pm. At 6 p.m., I walked into my room with the door wide open and a maintenance man working there on a ladder and with all his tools on the floor. Tried the two telephone numbers provided, but there was no answer. Then, I walked up to the room again, the tools and full rubbish bag left outside. Found the maintenance guy who told me I could use the room. Well after 6 pm, happy days! I had surgery at Addenbrookes earlier and needed to rest. Wrong place. Some jolly men outside talking and laughing full volume over a few beers. Then, some hammering started in the room above. Faulty TV. After my written complaints they offered me around 8pm to relocate me to another place. When booking.com customer service called me, I refused the relocation due to my post-surgery condition, and the noises stopped. I suggested partial refund as they breached booking T&Cs by not having the room ready from 3pm. Some employee wrote that as didn't want to relocate, there wouldn't be any refund. They definitely need to learn the very basics of hospitality. In the morning, more surprises: toilet water tank stopped filling up, and shower gel dispenser didn't work. Stay away. Ibis is just next door.
