Cute compact self contained. Washer and dryer a real plus.backyard garden and rural fields sper quiet safe environment not too far to village Co op supermarket.Somewhat like a tiny canal boat on land. Good off street parking. Take care entering and leaving the roadway.

A beautiful location and building. Most staff were helpful and attentive. Room and bathroom were well appointed with a fridge, restocked daily with still and sparkling mineral water and a nespresso machine. Spa was lovely.

Making use of the spa felt complicated with booking necessary. Room had virtually no drawers and wardrobe was old and creaky and floorboards noisy. It overlooked the car park at the front of the building but had no nets/blinds. Most staff complained about being too busy to cope and service in both the bar and spa restaurant was somewhat awkward and disjointed, although staff apologised and were clearly under pressure. We only ate once in the main restaurant in the evening, because we were disappointed by both the quality of the food and the environment. Tables were close and there was little privacy. Cooked breakfast was also poor, and bacon for example, was pre cooked. There was little choice of buffet with a very strange rice crispy and seed bowl which also tasted stale. Such a shame, as with a few minor changes and maybe an increase in staff levels this could be a truly lovely hotel.

Room was cold. I followed the instructions to increase the temperature from 4deg up to a warmer temperature. It just kept going back to 4deg and heater never got warm. I searched the room incase there was a master switch or something. But ya, cold. The TV kept stalling. I rang then reception and she sighed and complained/grumbled. I actually had to say ‘sorry I didn’t cause this problem’. She said yes I know. But I felt like I was bothering her. The pressure in the shower was terrible, so difficult to wash my hair with low pressure. I dropped my ring under the bed. I slid something under the bed to pull it out and dirt, hair, champagne cork and other dirt was under the bed. Disgusting. You have to hoover under beds. Especially for people like myself that have dust allergies.
