The 3 ladies that work there were wonderful! Very accommodating and kind to me upon arrival as I arrived early and they had set my room up at the front (which is on the main road) and they very kindly changed me over to a back room which was quieter and with a gorgeous view of the centre of truro and the cathedral. The room was quiet, the bed was comfy, fridge in room, TV. Tea / coffee, kettle etc.it served a purpose for just 1 night which is all that I would stay for as a stop over. There is a lidl right opposite and a sainsburys supermarket just down the road. The bus stop is about 5 minutes away which will bring you back up the very steep hill from the centre of town. The walk down is fine but it's very steep coming back up so the bus stop is perfect. The ladies that work there was the best thing about it honestly.

The whole place needs a complete overhaul! Chipped paintwork on doors, dirty marks on the white walls, old carpet on the stairs and entrance hall, frayed blinds in bedroom, rusty radiators etc. It just all looks a bit dated and tired which is not the girls fault who work there it's down to the owners who are responsible for this. There are white walls and woodwork so very easy to freshen up with a coat of plain white paint! As this place is dog friendly my valance sheet and carpet were covered in black dog hairs which was so unpleasant! I told the girls and they very quickly changed the sheet for me but the bathroom wasn't that clean to be honest and sorry to say as they tried their best to sort it out quickly. It's OK for just a quick 1 or 2 nighter stop over. I feel like there could be major improvements with the place as the building is really lovely huge rooms, loads of space, not bad location..it just looks very tired and not as clean as it could or should be.

Loved our stay here. The interior was stunning, with a spacious room and very comfortable bed. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. You could tell the restoration of the house was a labour of love and it was fascinating to learn hearing the history of the property. Location was fantastic; 10 minute walk into city centre and free street parking. Definitely recommend and hope to be back.

The Grapevine Studio was just as described. There was a great selection of breakfast items to choose from. Christine had thought of everything anyone might need for their stay. For example sewing equipment and first aid kit. Christine was an excellent host, thank you.

The location was lovely and the grounds beautiful. The living area was large which was lovely and having a sauna in one of the bathrooms was an unexpected bonus!

It wasn't always clean. Some of the pans hadn't been washed and it generally didn't feel very clean in our accommodation so definitely think given the massively late check in of 5pm that I would expect it to be really clean. The check in time and check out doesn't seem fair with the price people are paying and the accommodation we were in (heron) felt dated. It was for a 40th birthday and I felt really disappointed when we arrived at the accommodation as it didn't feel special or what I had expected. Other types of accommodation may be different though.
