- “Baan Thai House is a really beautiful hotel set in really lovely grounds. We booked 2 rooms which were both absolutely lovely and one of the rooms had the bonus of an outdoor shower. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We really loved the pool area which was well maintained with plenty of sun beds and a beautiful setting by the river. The staff were wonderful; extremely friendly and very helpful. We booked a sunset river tour through the hotel which was excellent and were dropped off at the night market for food. They also arranged a transfer back to Bangkok too. The hotel is a short tuk tuk or taxi ride to the main sights and we liked the fact it was tucked away in a lovely quiet area surrounded by well maintained gardens and a lovely lake. Would definitely stay here again!”

  Excellent stay for my mum's 80th birthday. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely. We were booked in the restaurant for the Saturday evening which was nice. Restaurant just lacks a bit of atmosphere in the evening. There was a pianist playing but when he stopped it was a bit quiet. A bit of background music would be nice.

  Roons are very warn but there are fans in the rooms, can't have them on through the night as they are too noisy. All in all an excellent stay. This is our 2nd stay this year and we'll definitely be returning soon.

  Stunning place, beautiful village and landscape around. Love the pub. Finn was absolutely great and made us feel very welcome. And so did the rest of the village! Incredible place. Not religious at all but visiting the abbey's service on Sunday was fantastic.

  The room looks pretty but it's not that practical. I'd recommend all owners of all hotels to actually stay in their rooms and see if they work.

  The hosts were good, breakfast was excellent. The pub itself was furnished well and relaxing.

  Arrived around 10 pm as advised in advance. We were shown quickly to our room in a block of 3 outside of the main pub. It was a family room consisting of a double bed and 2 singles. The room smelt musty and the bathroom window was open and it was cold. Heating could have been put on in advance as the arrival time had been provided. The room was clean and it had tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was large and had no controlled heating and was therefore cold. We left the bedroom heating on all night with the bathroom door open. The shower was over the bath and we couldn't find a way of locking it in for overhead use and therefore had to use it handheld. There was plenty of hot water at good pressure. It was £140 for one night including breakfast, but unfortunately it does not warrant that rate. I would happily eat and drink at the pub, but would not choose to stay there again

  Room was tiny. Asked for a twin got a double no other rooms available. Nowhere to hang clothes, just 3 hangers, struggled to get around the bed. Bathroom was very small, larger people would have really struggled. Ran out of milk asked for more, it never arrived. No continental breakfast. In desperate need of make over. Light fitting was broken and only 1 side wall light worked. If I was staying longer than 2 night I would have booked in some where else
