The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The location was very easy to get to and close to our wedding venue. The communication was excellent with Adam and Elsa before hand and they also helped put my mind at rest regarding the internet speed a head of time so I could work from there from one of the days. The property looked good on the pictures but exceed my expeditions in terms of size and quality. It was well furnished and they both added little extra touches to make the stay very enjoyable. It was perfect for what we needed.

A peaceful location, charming setting and friendly, helpful hosts - to say nothing of hearty breakfasts of local produce and excellent pots of tea - made Chadwell Hill Farm a highlight of our eight-country holiday. We especially loved the access to the gardens, horses and to lanes and country footpaths to stroll along. Definitely recommend Chadwell Hill highly.

The only downside to this lovely retreat is that it's a little way from the village, and the very busy road it's on has no footpath. Not the hosts' fault and they were helpful in helping us deal with it. We managed without a car by using local taxis, buses and trains and got around to neighboring villages and to London and Oxford.

The location is fab, right on the lough. The food was fab in the evening. We dined at the hotel both nights. We loved the pool and jacuzzi as we climbed Ben Nevis. So nice to come back and use those facilities.

Only thing to like was the young girl looking after the hotel entirely on her own.

On arrival the hotel looked run down. There was a notice on the door to say WE ARE CLOSED call this number if you have a booking. We rang the number and a young girl let us in. She gave us our key and explained where our room was. The building had seen better days. We had expected to be able to eat at the hotel but as it wasn’t really open that was a no. Luckily we found a fab restaurant in Carnforth. I would recommend you remove this establishment from your website. Not a good ad for Booking.com. Has made me re-think if I should use the site.

Very unhappy that I had to pay an extra £25.00 to get the keys

I asked if we could use a second car parking space if the other accommodation was not in use. Was told no but the spaces remained empty the whole time. Ended up spending an extra £22.00 on parking

Warning signs straight away when we pulled up in the morning there is no sign above the hotel like in the picture to show it was the harbour hotel and when someone pointed out it was the one with all the rubbish outside we found it and was a little peace of paper saying harbour on it there was people were sitting on the doorstep drinking and smoking what wasn’t fags!anyway fort we’d give it a chance so we went to check in at 3 and by then it was even worse .Then staff had no clue what they were doing we eventually got our key made our way to the room praying it wasn’t as bad as we knew it was going to be.after navigating past people sat on the stairs was like a seen from hostel we got to our room opened it and I have no words apart from disgust.I have pictures be quicker to list what was good about it but I carnt think of anything. We ended up leaving my partner was scared and we will never return ruined our bank holiday so thanks for miss selling us the harbour hotel .
