The Pontcana Inn was a fabulous place to stay and only a 15min walk from the centre. The rooms aren’t huge but the attention to detail was second to none. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, in a hotel and the shower was great. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. We also had a full English breakfast in the morning which was well worth the money. The pub does get very busy but we didn’t hear any of the noise once in our room. We enjoyed everything about our stay and would most definitely come back.

The pub was very very busy on the Saturday night, which isn’t really our thing but we were able to order drinks and take them up to our room, which was perfect ☺️

We were only given 1 key card so had to stay together to gain access to the room and it also meant one couldn't stay in the room whilst the other went out( taking the key card meant the lights in the room didn't work)....but we didn't ask if a second key was available as it wasn't a hugh problem, just inconvenient. The pastries at breakfast were always gone half way through the time.... The evening menu choice was rather limited.

No view that we paid extra for,, bathroom sink hard to get to with mirror being in the way bathroom door didn't close properly, inner door didn't close...tired looking for what we paid.

Loud music. It’s more like a pub with rooms to let. Staff were unwelcoming maybe some customer service training would be of benefit. We were kept awake until the early hours of the morning by the next door occupants whooping and hollering, and doors banging downstairs.
