Within easy walking distance from ferry port, staff very courteous, kind and friendly. I stayed in a single room which was comfortable and spacious. The hotel has a faded splendour, and although there were stains on the carpet the room itself was very clean.The room was very quiet and I did not hear any noise from other guests, however, single glazed windows, and of course city centre traffic, so if you're a light sleeper, bring some earplugs. As other guests have mentioned, the hotel would benefit from some redecoration, however, I felt that this was reflected in the very cheap price. Would definitely stay there again.

The location was okay, for the price of the room it was just basic, you could see the cobweb over the window, i have to go and look for the iron, for the price as well it should come with breakfast. the coffee that was left in the room was one of the cheap one.

I had no time was busy as i had deadline to meet ad just got on with what i had to do, because i check in late as well, i check in at around 22.00 hours and have to go and find a iron in the night as there was none in the room,

Our 3rd stay there. We travel feom Australia and see family in kilmarnock and this hotel never disappoints. Training for staff must be excellent(especially reception) as they are always super helpful, efficient and pleasant

The location is great as right next to the train station; although you can't hear any noise from the station or surrounding city. Very comfy room and helpful staff.

The breakfast was a let down... £13 for cold continental, the only hot item on offer was a boiled egg... I would stay at the property again but would be finding somewhere else to have breakfast.

I would only suggest that a few decor touches should be added. Say a picture, lamp shades with a couple of cushions to give the room a less basic look.

Vwey disappointed with the TV. Too small. Wrong location in the corner. Not enough channels and the radio channels were very very limited indeed. Very disappointing overall TV wise.
