Nice modern, clean room. Very spacious, comfortable beds, really felt at ease. Decent spaces for working too. Location was perfect. Close to shops, restaurants and transportation links. A wide range of items available at breakfast. Struggled to think of anything that you'd typically have that was missing!

The corridors were very wide, as I was carrying golf clubs this made moving through much easier than most hotels. The staff were friendly & everything was in good order. It was basic but comfortable that was sufficient for my particular needs. Breakfast was very good.

Breakfast was even better than usual - sausages, bacon, scrambled egg, beans plus hash browns and tomatoes! Room was kept clean and staff were all very friendly.

Wi-Fi in the room (127) had a very poor connection. Staff tried to help connecting to another login but still slow connection making watching a Netflix film a buffering experience! Out in the lounge area Wi-Fi was fine. On arrival large towel was frayed but soon replaced and towelling fine after that. Don't recommend the beef burger for an evening meal as it really wasn't good.

The hotel is in a great location. The common room downstairs was lovely. Their staff was friendly and attentive.

The rooms could really use a revamp. The tiles in the bathroom were lose and some broken. Some of the furniture was chipped. The bed runner on top of the sheet looked worn and dirty.

room 205 was very small and decor and bathroom tired and needs updating. Could hear every noise from the room next door including normal speaking , using the bathroom and plugging in sockets etc and very creaky floors. The partition wall between the two rooms was just thin plaster board so very noisy room and didn't get much sleep. It appeared that a larger room had been made into two rooms without consideration of guest comfort and value for money. Food for dinner was small portions and greasy and breakfast choices were limited
