The Honey resturant was lovely and the waiting staff were fabulous! For us, Honey really saved The Gotham Hotel as we weren’t impressed by many other areas of the hotel. The valet staff were also fantastic, offering a very warm welcome and exit to the hotel.

We stayed here for my 30th Birthday. The room was not cleaned to a very high standard, there was hair on different surfaces, rings from the last guest’s products on the bathroom sides. We waited 35 minutes to check out in a very small, hot lobby, the customers in front apologised for my wait as the receptionist has locked himself out of the computer and needed to call for a code. The staff did not acknowledge us throughout that time, despite the guest in front apologising. When I was eventually able to come forward to hand in my room card, my wait again was not acknowledged. I was then told that a £10 service charge deducted from the £100 deposit I had, had to pay on arrival, I refused this. When I explained to the manager I didn’t want to because of the dirty room, she said okay sorry and removed it. Overall, I think the stay was not worth our while. We had been so excited to visit this iconic hotel since it opened and were quite disappointed.

We arrived early and the hotel staff were able to get our room ready, so we could check in and freshen up before the event we were to attend, which was very helpful. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.

I rate the place very well. There is everything you need even for a longer stay (dishwasher, washing machine, iron). It was clean inside and the area was quiet. I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful cottage & situated in a great location. The hamper is a lovely welcome, thank you! The bath tub in the room was an excellent touch, very relaxing.

Light in the room wouldnt turn off and was no-one on site to ask about it. No switch in the room to turn it off. Man in the room next door was blasting Oasis music and singing at 7am on a Sunday morning then proceeded to argue with his Mrs for an hour and no one stopped it. 2 days after staying, covered in bed bug bites aswell
