  Perfectly situated between Bath and Bristol for University visits. A beautiful country pub in a quiet location, very friendly staff, spotlessly clean and delicious evening meal. We didn’t have breakfast but if it’s half as good as dinner you won’t get much better. I would definitely return if I needed accommodation in the area and would highly recommend.

  Breakfast was tasty but not enough. Welsh breakfast had just one sausage and one egg when a typical UK breakfast has multiple of said components.

  Beds were too soft. No Aircon and we were there when it was 27 celsius and what made it worse was the bed was laid out with only a thick duvet. If there was a single layer under sheet it would have been easier sleep rather than removing everything to sleep.

  I didn’t like the staff. They weren’t friendly or willing to help. We had issues with the tv, in which we couldn’t watch anything and the programmes that were available were extremely limited. I called to ask, and they said “it doesn’t work” …. So why advertise this feature? Had to faff about with a payment for a deposit we had no idea about, which wasn’t an issue to pay but it’s the principle of letting us know before arrival. The bed was extremely squeaky, my friend turning over in the night woke me up and vice versa. Went to get water downstairs and it had black stuff in it, which I mentioned to staff and they just took the glass and didn’t apologise. Would help if staff spoke better English and had better communication skills in which they had a bit more customer service. For £130 for a night, this is poor. And the man asked me to give a 10 star review even though I said we weren’t very impressed - I don’t think he understood me
