Everyone has different standards, and I understand that. However, anyone who rates this place above three stars clearly lacks an understanding of what constitutes a luxury or above-average experience. Here’s why: - The location is completely unwalkable, situated on a pothole-riddled dirt road that feels like a shady back alley. - Upon arrival, the curb appeal is dismal. The large purple logo outside is rusted, which immediately raised my concerns. Properties that take pride in their appearance recognize that the guest experience begins the moment you arrive. - The metal awning supporting the glass is entirely rusted. This is a straightforward observation. - There was only one receptionist, likely because they don’t receive many bookings. - There are no phones in the rooms or at the front desk. All communication is done through WhatsApp via cell phones. While I don’t mind using WhatsApp, it’s odd not to have a direct line to the front desk when needed. - The walls are stained. While no hotel walls are perfect, these definitely need attention. - The sheets and towels also have stains. I don’t need to guess what they might be, and it’s unsettling to think about the state of the mattress. 🤮 - The jetted tub raises serious cleanliness concerns. If you have experience with jetted tubs, you know they can harbor dirt and grime. Trust me, based on the smell, they aren’t being properly cleaned. - The balcony tub had about 20% of its tiles missing, exposing old grout. We were informed that the balcony pool could be used, but only cold water was available. It looked worn and unclean, much like the outdoor swimming pool. I had seen enough and left immediately without incident. I was so disgusted that I didn’t even ask for a refund. If you come from humble beginnings, this place might seem like an upgrade, and I mean that respectfully. But if you’re accustomed to true cleanliness and above-average accommodations, steer clear of this establishment.

What a sweet place to stay! It was beautiful, clean, comfortable! There was a coffee maker downstairs with lots of options. The pool is fantastic! I want to go back.

The staff were super friendly, and the location is great. It is close to the square and near so many good restaurants and the beach. I did like their swimming pool in the back too. The room is also quite spacious. Many hangers for your clothes as well.

    I absolutely loved my stay at Tere’s apartment!

    I absolutely loved my stay at Tere’s apartment! It’s a bright, stylish, and cozy space with everything you could possibly need. The apartment was spotless, well-organized, and thoughtfully prepared. Every detail made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Tere is a great host, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. I’d happily come back!

    I loved this quiet beach town and will come again.

    I loved this quiet beach town and will come again. It was the perfect place to come and relax without the crowds of Tulum or Playa del Carmen. I felt safe walking at night and in general. There are some truly excellent restaurants and one of them, Punta Corcho made me cry when I tasted their shrimp soup. It was that good! I loved swimming at the nearby cenotes, which were like an fairytale and having a fresh coconut every day was a treat! Truthfully, I was in need of a little mental and physical healing after suffering a knee injury that took too long to heal and Puerto Morelos hit the spot. I can’t wait to return and next time I’ll stay longer.

    Very nice little town not too overcrouded of tourists. Enough restaurants and bars, frendly Mexicanos. I did try a few retaurants and encountered "mama mia" take away, few tables on site a kind of pizza with shrimps : fantastic and I a "gourmet"

    Nice town with a white sand beach great for snorkelling and swimming. If you want to take a boat for snorkelling they supply all equipment and take you towards the reef, very easy to organise at the time, inexpensive too. You can lay free at the beach and swim all day with no hassles.

    Lovely town, not too big and has all you need, grocery store, restaurants, cafes etc. Becoming more and more touristy, with lots of construction, which is concerning as far as how will they be able to manage the infrastructure such as water/plumbing/power etc……???

The hotel lacks for nothing; service, food, high speed wifi, private cenote, sweat lodge, telescope, AC, comfortable beds, and a beach-like pool. All only 20 mins from the beach at Puerto Morelos.

    Brilliant location next to the beach and into town. Very well looked after and attentive host. We really enjoyed this stay. Doesn’t have a pool but you don’t need one as you can rent beds on the beach for 100 just metres away.
