Perfect little room. Exceptionally renovated, clean, private, quiet, and in order. One sees the beach upon stepping out the front door, and can hear the waves at night from the beautiful courtyard garden. Situated in a beautiful & diverse neighborhood. Easy busses to and from train station if you have heavy bags, and then walkable to nearly everything.

This quirky hotel was a great find! Marlon who checked us in and served at the bar was very friendly and quite funny! The room was great and the bed was comfy. Cups/ Tea/Coffee and a choc in the room was a cute extra and we were grateful for the dyson fan! The location is great and parking is right on the doorstep £34 for 24hours. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again! We had an amazing anniversary at this hotel.

FAQs about hotels in Brighton & Hove

Colorful by Day and Night

Known for colorful nightlife and traditional English seaside pursuits, Brighton and nearby Hove are the closest beach resorts to London, making them popular end points for classic car runs from the capital. Many end at the racetrack, a few streets from Brighton Marina, Europe’s largest, housing several shops and eateries. Many Brighton guesthouses on Booking.com are also nearby.

Running along the beachfront is the world’s oldest operating electric train, ending by Brighton Pier. Lit up at night and also known as Palace Pier, this city icon houses amusements and rides, and is one place to pick up some famous Brighton Rock, the confectionery sharing its name with an edgy Graham Greene novel set here.

A new addition, the Brighton Wheel is right by the pier, while one of its most famous attractions is the Royal Pavilion, a former royal retreat built in Indian style.

Just west are 2 of the most popular Brighton shopping spots – Churchill Square shopping center and The Lanes with its narrow streets and unusual shops. This area also has several Brighton hotels with parking, and the Artists Quarter, a series of ex-fishing huts that are now galleries. Arts + culture are big in Brighton, and Brighton Festival is the UK’s 2nd largest arts festival, while Brighton Pride is also a big event on the annual calendar.

A very enjoyable stay, Brighton has something for the whole family. The children loved the beach and i enjoyed the town centre and the quirky shopping Lanes. The Pavillion palace is beautiful. Eating out was brilliant, so many options (chinese, mediterranean, turkish tried it all).

Brighton is busy bustling, eclectic shopping . Fab place .Hove 'actually'... gorgeous. Lovely architecture down at the seafront .very expensive . I paid £25 for a vegan breakfast and in Third Avenie another £25 for a salad and £10.50 for a glass of wine ... St Georges Street is a less expensive shopping and cafe area. Theres a nice bagel shopping on the main road around the corner from 4th Avenue ...

    Plenty to do.

Plenty to do. The Royal Pavilion was a very interesting place to visit. The Lanes is pretty unique. Also plenty of good walks within a reasonable distance of the city. Innovative pricing scheme for public transport when we were there (late June/early July 2025).

Loved the proximity to the shops and restaurants, walking distance. Everything was accessible. Everywhere we went staff were very pleasant and helpful, makes such a difference. We loved the architecture and lovely old buildings both in Brighton and Hove. We also visited Rottingdean and Saltdean, beautiful and very quaint. Make sure you visit Brighton Pavilion, amazing!!!! Loads to see and do, never a dull moment.

Disappointing Stay – Poor Standards and No Onsite Support

Disappointing Stay – Poor Standards and No Onsite Support My stay at X Hotel in Brighton was extremely disappointing. The room was not clean — surfaces were dusty, and the carpets were visibly dirty. The furniture was damaged, and the overall condition of the space felt neglected and uninviting. There was no staff available on site to assist, and despite being responsive during the booking process, communication via WhatsApp became inefficient and unhelpful once I had checked in. It was frustrating to receive delayed or no replies when assistance was actually needed. Additionally, I was surprised by extra charges that were added after booking, with no clear explanation provided. This left a sense of poor transparency and customer care. The only positive aspect of the stay was the Wi-Fi, which worked well throughout. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a clean, supportive, and professionally managed environment.

We enjoy visiting as there's always something to do. Whether walking along the sea front to Brighton Marina, enjoying amusements on the pier, or enjoying the sunshine on the beach/in the sea. For my friends who enjoy shopping, there's plenty of shops to look around.

The Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton Waterfront is located close to Brighton Pier and is opposite the famous pebbled beach of Brighton. I have stayed at this hotel over many years because it is by far the best hotel in Brighton. The Leonardo Royal Hotel is simply the best as the Customer Service, Hotel Standards and Quality of food is outstanding. The Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton Waterfront will always be the only hotel I stay because the hotel team make their guests feel special.

Beautiful, old, glamorous hotel. Right on the seafront and very close to town. We were seeing a show at the Brighton Centre which was right next door so perfectly placed. The best buffet breakfast I have ever had! The staff were extremely nice, efficient, friendly and very welcoming. Obviously they are happy at their work and this is nice to see and experience. Love the concierge uniform also - so stylish.

What a gem on the Brighton seafront! Had a fabulous stay. Staff could not have been more helpful. Beautiful boutique hotel. Some amazing touches such as the first floor pantry. Help yourself pick and mix sweets, crisps drinks and popcorn. Gorgeous bar, fabulous breakfast. Old fashioned record players in every room with a selection of records in the room and more in the library downstairs.

The location couldn’t be better, with the beach at the end of the street and both central Brighton and Kemptown a short walk. There are lots of restaurants etc nearby. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and our room was bright and spacious. The owners were really welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed the home-cooked breakfasts. We’ll be back!
