Lovely town with some great shops. On street parking available free for 2 hrs. A lot of traffic in the main street. Being in the main built of Cotswold stone the town looks beautiful with many old buildings. It is built on a hill down to the Windrush so some level of fitness is required. Pretty picturesque Cotswold town, a High Street with independent shops and a couple of pubs and restaurants. The High Street is very quiet of an evening even at 8pm on a summers evening, not much open mid week. We ate at The Farmers Dog, (Jeremy Clarkson's pub) we booked the hotel as location fairly near that pub, we cabbed it there and back to Burford.Guest review byTERRYUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Burford is a pretty gorgeous Cotswold village, and the traditional Cotswold architecture makes it feel quaint and welcoming. It has lots of little shops, restaurants and pubs and there is a very buzzing atmosphere. Unfortunately the high street is pretty much always busy with traffic, from tourist coaches and lorries, to local traffic and cars passing through. The main street of Burford is very attractive. Beautiful Cotswold stone buildings line the main streets and the place looks prosperous. There is an excellent choice of pubs to suit every taste: from burgers and pizzas to traditional pie and chips, roast pheasant to tapas! Several cafes of which two are bakeries. The Hill at Burford is a very attractive place, but the shops aren't that good! Lots of beautiful villages around with lovely walks and lots of traditional pubs. Burford Garden Centre is worth a visit, although it's somewhat expensive (but nowhere near as expensive as Daylesford). Jeremy Clarkson's farm shop and pub are both nearby but whilst I am a fan of Jeremy, I don't rate either place very highly - they're basically tourist traps and we didn't like the ambience of either place.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom
