We were in transit and only stayed two days. Did some shopping, spent the afternoon in El Retiro park and had drinks in a cool little bar recommended by the hotel, called Viva Madrid. I liked Madrid however, if I go, next time I would go when its not very hot as we were walking around a lot and it was tiring. A lot of the locations are very close so it is ideal and you can tick a lot off your itinerary quickly. My favorite and recommended place to eat was Honest Greens. It's honestly amazing it has amazing salads, fries etc as well as a cafe. We walked it everywhere but I do recommend the buses and metro especially if it's hot or else its easy to get around. If you are interested in art and museums, please consider visiting Lázaro Galdiano Museum. Even though it is slightly off the beaten track, it is certainly worth your time. The collection is on three floors and dedicated to West European art. The Museum holds ver unique paintings of Hieronymus Bosch.
