First off, great location. Nishishinjuku-Gochome Station is a minute walk to the hotel, and since this station is an Oedo Line station, you can easily access to other great stations like Shinjuku, Aoyama-Itchome etc. to get to whichever plave you want as the Japanese metro system is immaculate. Secondly, the staff was very friendly and helpful, though none of them spoke fluent English. Can't blame them, nobody I spoke in Tokyo did. And, thus, finally, the room cleaning service was really good, so much so that (it's maybe me who didn't see such service before, but) they virtually tidied and renewed everything (toothbrushes, combs, razors, etc.), and even neatly folded some of my t-shirts lying around on my bed while making it again - so, thanks:) Recommended for solo travelers for sure.

FAQs about hotels in Tokyo

See It to Believe It!

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!

Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Center near the waterfront, and savor the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.

Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.

For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Outdoor markets sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.

Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.

Transpot was spot on, trains to everywhere, everything was clean and orderly everywhere, plenty of locations to visit, food was always affordable, fresh and tasty, people even though reserved are helpful to a fault. A must visit destination, with something for everyone to do, karts, museums, attractions, food, team labs planets and every style of food.

    A megapolis that is a must-visit.

A megapolis that is a must-visit. If you have the choice, you should avoid visiting during the summer months, as the weather conditions make moving around unpleasant. Tokyo has a very efficient transport system. Despite its huge size, it is easy to use as the signage is clear. The only thing that might be confusing is that there are different operators (Metro, JR, and private lines) for different lines. Tokyo is a safe, extremely clean, and vibrant city where you can combine sightseeing with a culinary experience (you must try street food!) and entertainment.

Tokyo is a wonderful, very large, very crowded city. it is definitely worth seeing and exploring. Every area is different and not something you experience in other countries. the public transportation options are numerous and easy to use. We went in July. We had to due to school schedule. If you can avoid that do so. It was manageable but made it less enjoyable.

    Great city for city dwellers.

Great city for city dwellers. Offers a great variety in every aspects - food, drinks, shopping and so on. Needs a ton of patience packed to enjoy everything (If you are going for places with raving reviews) as you have an extended queue at most places and not all tourists go by the societal rule of respecting a line when they see one before their eyes.

An amazing city that has something to offer all tastes. The subway system makes travelling to different areas really easy. Everyone is so helpful and polite. Other world cities could learn a lot from Tokyo! We loved travelling about the different areas and experiencing the different cultural highlights. There was something different to see and do everyday. I would highly recommend a visit to Tokyo to anyone.

Do a lot of research on what you want to see and pick a place to stay based on where you will be most. If you are staying several days (3-5) in Tokyo, recommend getting Air BNB. 1-2 nights, get a hotel. BNB's are much roomier and feel more like home - easier to relax after a long day. So easy to get around, especially if the hotel is really close to the train/subway station.

We loved the location of this hotel. It was close to everything we wanted to do in Shinjuku and Shibuya. A 10min walk to the train station with lots of shops, bars and restaurants along the way. The hotel was beautiful as well as the rooms with great views of the city. Everything was automated, like the lights, the blinds, even the toilet seat would automatically lift up when you walked into the bathroom! The Premier club lounge was excellent, and it included all drinks and snacks, plus gorgeous views of the city.

I loved how clean the room is, as well as the facilities provided. It was fully stocked with a kettle, an electric stove and a washing machine. The hotel had a nice cafe right below, which served great food and coffee at affordable prices.
