Nothing actually, all the restaurants were closed. it was extremely hot in the common area and staff was rude. We asked if we could check in at 1 a couple days prior. They said ok… “We can do that, just come one in.” Upon arrival, we were told we could not check in at 1. If we wanted to, we would have to pay extra. The place looked dirty, and the staff was rude. When we were going to check in, the front desk said we have not been charged so we decided not to stay. When we said we were not going to stay, he called us garage. Completely uncalled for but it was it is.

Cancún beaches and area is very beautiful! White sandy beaches with clear and transparent sea water.
With a very nice night life and lots of restaurants.
Additionally, it's relativity close to many archeological sites, nature reserves, and family parks.

It's not a place if you don't speak Spanish.
It's not a place if you don't speak Spanish. I got on the beach and I could not get off because there was no exit to get off it was all private with fences. No seemed to speak English or help. It's not friendly and very aggressive to you as you walk through areas. Better figure out how to get. Pesos and then figure out how to use them. Very disappointed for a place that hardly anyone knows English for a place like Cancun.

This is absolutely my favorite spot to vacation .. the people, the beaches, the weather .. it is just so beautiful. At no time did I ever feel unsafe. We took buses, taxis, and walked places and had no problems at all. Xcaret is a must - the wildlife and natural beauty is breath taking. We ate at our resorts most of the time, but we did go to a couple little taco spots. Everything was good. We visited Juarez Beach, Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, and ventured to some cenotes. The people are absolutely awesome and truly treat you like "familia" if you show them you are interested in them and their culture.

Everything was perfect.
Everything was perfect. During our trip we visited Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel and Cancun.
The 2nd day we took an amazing snorkeling tour in PC and the 3rd day we went to Xcaret…the most amazing place that has everything. My favorite part…Mexico Spectacular Show 😍😍😍!
The last 2 day in Cancun we stayed in the hotel and its beach and we had a walk to the night club area and restaurants.
We did something different everyday, including where and how we ate. Some days we cooked in our hotels because it’s pretty easy to get groceries or to eat in a local market!
We were really tired the last days but I didn’t want to go back home yet, I still wake up at home wishing I could go out to enjoy that surprisingly spectacular landscape!
Everybody can see there’s never enough time to know everything The Riviera Maya offers!!
This was my first time in Cancun and in an all inclusive with my family. The resort is beautiful and it has everything you need. I wish I would have stayed longer. The staff is amazing! Emilio is THE BEST! All you can eat, all you can drink. Cute Cafe right in the lobby. Fun activities throughout the resort a different times and so much fun at the pool! If you are still thinking about it, book it! You and your family or friends will not regret it. We want to go back!
Location and breakfast unique...
But the phone system in the room was worthless. Could not communicate with reception.
Im in and out of Cancun the next 6 month, and wanted to stay at R every time I was in CC, so I asked reception to hold some stuff for me while out of Mexico... They could not give me an answer.
The guard entering the hotel and parking was directly provoking. Took minutes to get in and out every time because he was to slow and lazy to move the cone.
Absolutely everything was fantastic, spectacular and perfect- accommodation, choice of all inclusive food (Asian, Mexican, Italian, Seafood, Healthy, American restaurants + bars + bistros). Staff are super friendly. In comparison with the European 5stars hotel, this is very ration of quality and price!!! The complex is very safe and not located directly in the Cancún city. There were every day programs and also time for relaxation.
My first experience at an all-inclusive resort was at the Grand Park Royal Cancun and I left it very dissatisfied. Firstly, it is an all inclusive hotel, but they are always trying to sell you something extra. It gets to be embarrassing. Secondly, the food in the restaurants is poor. thirdly, the pool is small and has few sun loungers. A lot of people want to put their towel on the sand. The service also lacks friendliness.
We loved how close it was to the airport and so many good places, such as restaurants, shopping mall, etc. It has a small convenience store inside. We loved the beach, and how we could make it our meeting point for friends and family that were staying at nearby hotels (Oasis Palm). Has a decent water park for extra cost, and nice balconies. We loved this place, if we are ever back in Cancun we would definitely return here.
Very modern and clean. service staff was great with nice complimentary breakfast as well as complimentary drinks and snack in the room fridge.
Great little Spanish tapas and wine bar we discovered directly next to the hotel in the same building.
Flew into Cancun airport and stayed one night to and from Mexico. would definitely stay there again.
Downfall, no hot water in the shower.
Amazing location, right on the beach. You can buy the all inclusive at the hotel for £32 approx each. We only stayed 2 nights but tbh that was enough for us. We are not a massive fan of all inclusive food etc but it was a nice treat post 24 hours of travelling. Great beach and pool. TV with netflix if you want to watch a film in the evening or something.
The food was appalling the bars closed at ten 30 that's not all inclusive you had to constantly sign for anything - the breakfast service was terrible and the selection of food the worse I have ever seen for a 5 star hotel - the restaurant was too small to accommodate the guests and food options diabolical - how can an Italian swap mash for lasagne
1. The location is quite close to Cancun airport and the hotel provides pre-booked free shuttle bus between it and the terminals every half hour.
2. The swimming pool is heated but not clean enough. No one clean the leaves dropped in it.
3. There are swings and sofas next to the round-shaped pool which is a good place to kill time.
The hotel has the most beautiful beach. Our family loved it.
We did the stay without all inclusive as we were primarily out and about for the majority of the day. We did dine in on the first night and the food was ok. They have a store in the hotel we're you can buy snacks, drinks and it was extremely convenient.
We were there only for one night to catch the bus the next day to the airport, as it's quite near to the bus station from where my brother had to catch an early bus to the airport. The person at the reception was a decent bloke. The room had a balcony. Cheapest hotel available near the Cancun ADO Bus station.
Gorgeous calm swimmable beach, lovely 2 pools, white sand like silk. Clear, clean ocean. Calm atmosphere. Not an all inclusive party. Bus stop right in front of hotel to take bus to other areas or restaurants. Nice gym. Great breakfast. The best value in Cancun
beautiful hotel in a newly developed area. not a lot around but if you don’t like all inclusive it’s a good choice. People were friendly. Room was large and well decorated. amazing shower. great gym. the pool is stunning.
Nice hotel in a relatively central position (if you have the car to move). Great as a stopover hotel if you need to catch a flight from Cancun Airport, 20mins max travel time to CUN. Breakfast is good with good options.
Very nice lobby and view of the ocean, food was good for an all inclusive and the staff was nice and ready to help whenever possible. Value for all you get is reasonable compared to other hotels in the area.
A great hotel with lots of facilities and the location on the beach is incredible. We only stayed for 1 night after landing in Cancun Airport and it was a great place to wake up.
All inclusive is the way to go! Clean pool and beach, nice weather, great restaurants and great food. Will come again with family. Thank you to Occidental costa Cancun..
you definitely get what you pay for. all inclusive is of poor quality at this price, otherwise the hotel would be losing money. staff was not stellar by any means.
Simple, good value for money hotel. Breakfast included that is alright. Alright location for exploring downtown Cancun, or for transfers to port or airport.
Needed a hotel convenient to Cancún airport. It was great to have a shuttle bus the morning of our outgoing flight.
It was nice to use the swimming pool
