The property itself was lovely, tranquil, and romantic. Rooms were super clean and comfy. The food at the lodge restaurant was excellent. The staff members (all of them) were truly exceptional. Welcoming, kind, and thoughtful people. The evening wine tasting was superb. Our host was engaging and very knowledgeable about all of the wines from the region. She made us feel welcome.

Stoneridge Estate is my favourite accomodation I've ever stayed in. The rooms and facilities were amazing. Being out at Lake Hayes and away from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown was so relaxing. Wineries, Arrowtown, Ayrburn, Frankton Arm are all a quick drive away. The hot tub was great and the wine/cheeseboard each evening was a lovely addition. My partner and I enjoyed simply walking around the estate and looking at all the beautiful autumn colours. And the breakfast and coffee each morning was fantastic!

The hotel is family-owned, and their warmth and personal touch make the experience exceptional—you feel like a valued guest and even part of the family. The interior design is stunning, with a perfect blend of charm and comfort. My room was a highlight, featuring a unique open-ceiling bathroom that allowed natural light to filter through—such a beautiful touch. Everything in the room was thoughtfully arranged for both comfort and style. The location is unbeatable: close to the heart of Queenstown but still peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. What truly stood out, though, was the incredible hospitality. Every single staff member welcomed me with genuine smiles and made me feel truly cared for. we had been traveling for some weeks when we reached eichardts, so having laundry facilities in our apartment suite were an unexpected bonus. The nice kitchen also gave us the ability to cook some food items which we like without going out to a restaurant. The locaction of eichardts at the waterfront promenade was beautiful and got us close to all the local bars and tours. We were served a liesurly but excellent free breakfast in the eichardts bar. Great and helpful hotel staff. Queenstown on the wharf is so beautiful, dont go to the uphill accomodations

    The scenery was spectacular.

    The scenery was spectacular. Amisfield winery and restaurant (5 star plus) was the trip highlight - it's 20 mins outside town - take an Uber so you can enjoy the wine(s). Queenstown itself is very small and walkable and has some nice eateries: the Patagonia icecream parlour on lake front was a treat (eat upstairs for the lake view). Best to book eateries in advance and excursions (though we we subject to "sorry overbooked" after a tour paid for!)

    It's easier to get a taxi or the bus in to Queenstown no parking very busy place but lots to offer friendly atmosphere recommend The board walk at the warf happy hour 3-5 coctails $12 each and beer and wine as well then hope on depending on season either the Ernslaw or the spirit of Queenstown go to Walter peak buffet lunch or dinner Devine experience for sure go hungry. And farm demonstration as well very worth the money .

    Queenstown is a great destination for all those who love...

    Queenstown is a great destination for all those who love alpine skiing and trekking. What I liked most was its proximity to two great ski resorts: Cornet Peak and The Remarkables. Cardrona and Treble Cone are located a little bit further (1,5-2 hours by bus). For those who like challenging trekkings I would suggest a three-hour demanding hike to the summit of Ben Lomond (1748 m above sea level). There is a great number of excellent restaurants and bars in CBD, my favourite ones were Noodle Canteen and Kimchi Korean Restaurant. A walk along Wakatipu Lake's coastline is exceptionally relaxing. I also suggest visiting the Queenstown Gardens. In CBD there are offices of all the ski resorts (Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Cardrona, Treble Cone) and a range of activities can be booked there, especially most iconic ones like Shotover Jet and Skydive. Skyline Gondola allows to enjoy a breathtaking view onto Queenstown.

    Awful city. Too overcrowded with tourists. Queues everywhere. Rude business owners. Ridiculous traffic congestion most of the day with one main route into Queenstown. Three major arterial roads handled by one roundabout. VERY expensive by comparison to the rest of the country.

    Let me just start by saying despite how close this looks, this property is an Uber away from the town centre, only $10, but with how high up it is, its not easy to walk. With that said. I would not choose another hotel to stay at in queenstown, the view from our room was second to none and Sis was a fantastic host. I would highly recommend this property over anything closer to the centre, the uber is worth the views provided and i would more than happily book again on my next visit.

    Hosts were great! Easy to communicate with for their beautiful home. The location was amazing, we could see the sunrise in the morning over the mountains. Being able to wake up to that view during our stay was the real steal- IG worthy pics for a cheaper price than most motels/hotels. Facilities were super convenient. The heated bathroom floors were a game changer!

    Good location a bit outside of Queenstown centre. Plenty of on site parking. Very friendly staff and comfortable room. Nice tea and coffee provided in room (pukka and nespresso). Large terraced area and they do give you plenty of nice, large towels. We didn’t go to the restaurant or have breakfast, but the view from the hotel lobby was beautiful.

    We coincided with a weekend and there was a fair amount of noise from the bars in the vicinity.Though being New Zealand it stopped fairly early. Apart from that it was fine. We had a room with a bathroom. It was small but compared with most similar accommodation in Queenstown relatively cheap. Happy, I’d recommend it.
