This trip was a girls' weekend away. The shopping in Cheltenham is good but quite spread out so wear comfy shoes.
The shopping is in two areas, near the Brewery quarter which has a fantastic choice of restaurants and bars for eating and drinking ( fabulous cocktails in the Cosy Club, and great food in Alchemist with a DJ playing some great tunes on Friday night.) and usual high street shops. Then in Montpellier area, the shops are more individual and boutique style, with great restaurants and bars. We ate in Ivy which was lovely, beautiful inside with really great food.
We walked mainly while we were in Cheltenham and it felt pretty safe even in the evening walking back. We did also use Uber which as always was easy and convenient.

Had a 2 night stay at The Cotswold Grange , but would be very dubious about returning ,definately not as advertised ,not even as a B & B as you have to pay extra for a breakfast ,only to find everything was cleared away despite having booked for 9 30 the previous night, had an excellent evening at the Instanbul Kitchen which was exceptional and the following night we ate out and went to Sephs steakhouse in Cheltenham and again this was exceptional with excellent service. Taxis are readily available and good value.

Cheltenham has quite a sprawling center.
Cheltenham has quite a sprawling center. I parked up in a multi-storey car park that was attached to a huge John Lewis. It was great for access to the main street. Had a short walk to the Promenade from there. Wasn't totally impressed by Cheltenham prom. Its not as nice as I expected? You don't really get a good view of the regency style buildings, as there are a lot of overhanging trees that block the view. It all looked a bit run down. As with a lot of places these days, the menus in the cafe's offered food that I didn't find appealing, as they had what I call 'faddy' options. I did find a nice one at the end of the prom, that offered nice toasted sandwhich's, with traditional fillings. To be fair, I didn't have enough time to explore any walks or areas of interest round and about.

One end was tired looking and had a lot of beggars and rough sleepers, the other end was full of high end shops and restaurants (like most large towns). Lots of places to shop and eat. We had a delicious meal in Cote. There are lots of unique individual shops as well as the usual retail, high street shops. It's easy to walk around and see all there is to see.

Cheltenham is a lovely Regency town with so much charm.
Cheltenham is a lovely Regency town with so much charm. We dined well and went to the Wilson Art Gallery and Museum and I would highly recommend that. The bookstore on the Prom, Waterstones, was three floors and amazing. Wonderful to walk around and soak up the beauty of this Regency town.
We stayed 3 nights but changed rooms after 2 nights as we were over the kitchen and huge ventilators which were quite noisy. This may not bother some people. We changed to a room overlooking the front with a wonderful view. The staff were excellent especially the breakfast girls and boys. Breakfast was great excellent quality and plenty of it we also had a meal in the evening again again very good and good value. Also the bus every hour stops outside the hotel into Cheltenham. Hope to visit again useful for visiting relatives in the area.
Lovely welcome for both myself and my dog who was provided with a dog bed and bowel. Very friendly staff and ideal location with parking either in the hotels own garage or on the street which is metered. As I was traveling with my dog who was made most welcome in the bar area I did not try the restaurant, however the bar food was served with style and was very tasty. Overall a lovely, comfortable 3 night visit, which most certainly served as a great base for the surrounding area of Cheltenham and the Cotswolds.
Great location - easy access to Cheltenham town centre by bus or car. The bedrooms were clean, spacious and beautifully decorated, with a very smart en-suite. A bar fridge, hairdryer and plenty of white fluffy towels were appreciated and the bed was really comfortable.
Despite being located on a busy road, the windows are double glazed, so there is no disturbance from traffic.
Creative arrangement for people to order take-out food and consume it in the communal sitting/ dining area.
Super clean and spacious room, right in the centre. The staff has been very helpful and kind. I just felt like home, not a hotel (saying that as an ex-flight attendant). Very reasonable price for the comfort they provide you with. They even left an electric fan before l asked. I am not a person giving 5 stars all the time but l would give more than 5 to this little cute hotel and its lovely staff.
Location was very good, could only be bettered Holiday inn Express in Madrid, Spain, (I because of my work I have stayed in hotels in 28 countries in the world apart from UK ones from airport to Metro and when you arrive stop where the hotel is, go up by escalator when you come out from metro you see hotel no more than 30 meter away if I remember but town centre a little more than Cheltenham Spa.
Excellent value for money, friendly knowledgeable staff and right in the town centre. Parking vouchers can be purchased from reception to park in the street outside at a good price. Breakfast is continental but lots of choice and good quality. The reception staff (Rosie?) couldn’t have been more helpful. This will be my go to hotel when returning to a Cheltenham. Highly recommended.
The property is a very nice refurbishment of a chapel in Cheltenham town centre, superbly appointed inside with a great kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom all in new condition as far as I could see. The duplex split is an original use of the space and the reserved parking and proximity to town and local facilities were very handy.
I Had a lovely One night stay while I was at the Cheltenham festival, a perfect location a 15 minute walk to the racecourse and town centre and Pubs which was great as I was able to go out and meet friends.
The Bed was very comfy and check in & check out times were flexible. The Host Suzanna was great, friendly and very helpful.
Staying at the hotel garnered you acess to the Cheltenham ladies college sports centre which was a 10 minute walk away. Nice for a morning swim/gym session. Bathroom was nicely decorated. Location was really good for access to town centre. Free parking at rear. Access to coffee/tea 24/7.
Location is really good for access to the town centre. It's literally 4 minutes walk to the main shopping area. There's a Tesco and Lidl close by for provisions and numerous restaurants. Flat was super clean, with modern kitchen and good shower.
Room was a good size.
Staff in general were good.
Breakfast was good (pity it wasn't included in price)
Pool and spa were nice, but hot tub had far too much chlorine in it.
Hotel location is perfect for Gloucester and Cheltenham visits.
The room was spacious with seating by window and the bed very comfortable. Fabulous location in beautiful Cheltenham. Lovely Georgian building. Quiet. Easy parking. Arty, eclectic ambience. Plentiful clean, fluffy towels.
Room well-appointed, stylish and very comfortable with excellent en suite. Easy walk into Cheltenham centre and Montpellier district. Cooked breakfast was first class. Would definitely stay here again.
Location of the property for visiting Cheltenham Town centre is fantastic. John is a very pleasant host and the flat is very well kept. It ticked all the boxes I needed for a short notice stay.
Large room, excellent location near the town centre, parking nearby was no problem & staff very helpful & friendly (adjusting the breakfast time to suit our early starts).
