We had a great time. The apartment is modern and clean. About the location: Shadwell is not a pretty area for sure, and the apartment is in an ex-council flat. But the area didn't feel unsafe. The apartment is extremely well connected to all parts of London. DLR and Overground are at your doorstep and get you to Central London or Shoreditch/Dalston/Hackney in no time. I would definitely recommend it.
