Location was great for an early morning flight from Edinburgh. Bed was a bunk bed single but not advertised as such. Four steps up, four steps down. Had to make my own bed - why is that? Going to the bathroom at 2 AM was no fun. Travel companion in bed below was awakened. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The location was perfect - right by Edinburgh Waverly and 2 minutes from the Royal Mile. The facilities were perfect - classic hotel, comfortable beds, spacious rooms with high ceilings and elegantly decorated. Despite it's central location, there was no noise from the surrounding streets, making our stay very peaceful. The dinner we had in the Grand Cafe was great. We would definitely stay at the Scotsman on our next visit to Edinburgh and would recommend it to friends.

The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.

Edinburgh rained every day, need waterproof shoes and rain jacket.. I was sick because of food at hotel restaurant. There was a lift, however still had to climb stairs to reach room. Very uncomfortable bed, no place to sit comfortably. Bathroom looked like something from a recreational vehicle (only smaller), location is only good quality. Hotel staff was not able to give directions.

Edinburg is a breathtaking city, in general Scotland is a dream country. You need at least one week to be able to barely explore all the country has to offer.
One of the most beautiful places in Europe by far
Public health is free. My mom had an emergency . We went to a public hospital and she was seen by a doctor and gave her the antibiotics she needed, free of charge even for us tourists! Amazing

Really loved Edinburgh. It has lots of character and loads to do.The locals seem very friendly considering there are tourists everywhere. Edinburgh Castle must not be missed, definately worth a visit. The Dungeons were disappointing however.Really liked The Royal College of Surgeons museum as well. Trams were brilliant and lots of places to eat also. Lastly ,Arthur's Seat is definately worth visiting and climbing if you have the legs and stamina!!

SO much to do in Edinburgh so plan accordingly.
SO much to do in Edinburgh so plan accordingly.
Many sites to visit, so the bus tours are a must in order to get around the town in the fastest way. Plenty of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants to pass the time, entertainment abound also.
If you like walking, too, the inclines up to the castle will give you a daily workout.
Would visit again in a heartbeat
The location was amazing! We only had a short time in Edinburgh and this flat was a close walking distance to the bus tour pickups, walking tours and the Royal Mile. We were able to walk to the Castle, Greyfriar’s Kirkyard (and Bobby), our bus pickup for a day trip to Loch Ness, the Edinburgh Dungeon, shopping, Victoria Street, etc.! An amazing spot in Old Town Edinburgh! It was also right next to a bunch of Fringe Festival happenings (though we left the day it started.)
Pretty much perfect location as it’s in the middle of new town and old town , and right infront of the rail station. It also has a shortcut path to take you directly from the hotel to the Royal mile in about 20 seconds lol. It was perfect, you really can’t get a better location. Also they had so many amenities like an espresso machine and the fluffiest sheets ever. I was extremely happy and comfortable here. If I return to Edinburgh I will only stay here.
Fantastic hotel, the best experience you can desire for a holiday in Edinburgh. It has everything you need, staff very welcoming and charming, clean elegant and very pleasant hotel. Perfect location there is also a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you directly to the city centre. I stayed in an single room and I had the best view 🪟 of it.
Breakfast it's the best, very generous and delicious.
I can't wait to come back again.
Good central location. Walking distance to many interesting places in the old town. Warm welcome from very friendly staff who took my luggage up to my room. Nice modern and spacious bedroom, overlooking south bridge. OK cooked breakfast and nice facilities to eat it in. I was passing through Edinburgh on my way to Orkney, but now plan to make another short stay in Edinburgh itself with this hotel as my base.
Breakfast buffet was more than ample. GF options and best organised I have ever seen for guests with any food intolerances. Very practical and well organised hotel. Staff very professional and efficient. Great base for exploring Leith or for going into Edinburgh city centre. Family, couple, people on business friendly. It ticks all the boxes. Bright and airy. Would not hesitate to recommend!
The hotel was very close to the city centre without being directly in the centre. Excellent transport links, right outside a bus stop and a 5 min walk from Haymarket Station.
The room was very big, lots of plug sockets, TV with lots of channels.
Cleaned daily.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast add on options
I would stay here again if I was to come back to Edinburgh.

Good, convenient location within 20 mins walk of Canton Hill to Edinburgh Castle to National Museum of Scotland. And, Sainsbury Local and M&S Food Hall is within 3 mins walk of hotel; good for fuss free fuelling up
The location on the Royal Mile was perfect for walking to the Military Tattoo and Fringe Festival shows. Also very convenient to the castle, St. Giles, the National Museum of Scotland and everything else in Old Town. We also liked hotel because it had a small kitchen, and plenty of outlets for drying your hair and putting on makeup near a mirror.
Everything! Great location, tram right outside of hotel with easy access to Edinburgh city centre and lovely restaurants/bars/coffee shops in Leith for the evening and a morning walk.
Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Great breakfast included.
Comfortable room and bed, very quiet.
Extremely good value for money!
The staff at the Holiday Inn West Edinburgh were courteous and helpful and there was plenty of parking. The view of Edinburgh from our sixth floor window was breathtaking. This hotel is a great option for tourists wanting to "do" Edinburgh as it's easy to reach by car with good connections to the city centre.
Ten Hill Place was a convenient and comfortable location from which to explore Old Town Edinburgh. It is close to Waverly Station, the Royal Mile and our favorite for this trip, the National Museum of Scotland. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful, and the hotel restaurant provided excellent breakfasts.
Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Always remember myself and my daughter and greet us by name when we arrive! We never stay anywhere else in Edinburgh. Can walk to grass Market in less than 5 minutes, Royal Mile in less that 10 and 15 minutes into the full city centre (new town) hotel is spotless
Beautiful little hotel in great location of old town Edinburgh . The location was the best, just steps from the St. Giles Cathedral , in a small quiet street. The facilities are quite good. The fact that the room had a little kitchennette with tea and coffee available made it more comfortable.
It’s the best location in Edinburgh for easy access to the train station (just across the street), Old Town and New Town. It’s about as central as you can get. The room was clean, modern and had everything we needed. The Passcode made it easy so we didn’t forget a key ever.
The hotel was in a perfect location surrounded by nice bars and restaurants not far from the tram into Edinburgh city centre. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful. The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable.
The Yotel Edinburgh is perfectly located near Princes Street in the City Centre. It‘s very clean and modern, it has a hotel bar and nice personell. Everythings fine - i‘m definitely coming back!
I’ve used this hotel so many times of the past 3 years for work, and also with family. It’s not far from Edinburgh City Centre and having the use of the Swimming Pool/Gym is a nice extra.
The room was absolutely amazing. Perfect for a stay in Edinburgh. It was a beautiful hotel in a great location. Quiet but close for walks and to the city centre.
Hotel is in a good location with parking facilities and easy access to Edinburgh City Centre. Breakfast good. Rooms bigger than most city centre hotels.
