Good check-in experience with Rebecca and it was lovely to see Anna again after a number of years. We'd requested a ground floor room and were allocated to an accessible room so there was no bath, but the shower cubicle was very spacious and looked to have been newly renovated. Liked the 80's party night which seemed to go down well generally and didn't impact noise wise on the rooms. Room was a good size with usual facilities such as large screen TV, tea & coffee making facilities and bathroom amenities - the room we had also had a mains USB A & USB C charging socket & a fridge. Bed was comfortable and plenty of pillows. Staff at breakfast were good and Elaine was excellent in ensuring we had everything we needed. Checkout was trouble free.

I've been visiting this hotel for a very long time and the room decor and public areas feel badly in need of refreshing. A number of upgrades should be considered such as - the addition of lifts to the first floor on both sides; - modernising the bathrooms; - improve room lighting and/or make it dimmable; - addition of air conditioning (I've mentioned this many times since at least 2012 ;)); - remove the separate parking charge; - review the quality of the bacon & sausages at breakfast & re-instate the fried bread; - increase the weekend hours of the leisure centre to enable guests to make use of the facilities.

The staff were lovely, the food is good, room was comfortable and location is beautiful albeit by a busy dual carriageway. The pub is warm and cosy. The outside has plenty of seating area whether you're popping in on your way home from work or going for a catch-up with loved ones, there's a play area for kids, it's pretty good. If you want to stay somewhere with good atmosphere and good food, this is the place for you

The local traffic noise which obviously can't be helped, it didn't bother us but one of the residents moaned about noise

Excellent location in the heart of Glasgow, next to the main rail station, lots of restaurants and pubs. Staff were extraordinarily helpful and friendly. Room is reasonably well designed for its size. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and good selection. Wetherspoons pub next door was good for breakfasts and dinners.

Room is very small and had no window. Bed is adjustable, but needs to be adjusted to up position to allow comfortable movement between the wall and the end of the bed. "Desk" is a pull-out table in one bedside unit, and "chair" is a small ottoman so not too comfortable for working. Restaurant a bit too trendy in the evening for us older travellers - very dark, low seating at some tables, crowds of party-goers, quite noisy.

Outstandingly friendly staff.. I looked forward to meeting Apple, Karen and Sans and all the staff every day. I love the buzz of the local daily customers with their dogs in the coffee Dock every morning and the quiet night cap with Sans at night. Loved Ryan's music choices while discreetly tidying for the night.

Leaving!

Really good location and an amazing place to stay. The overall experience was great and it had everything you need for a really nice time.

Overall it was great but the cutlery and utensils they provided could include a better knife that's such a nitpick but I cooked dinner only to realise that I had to cut the chicken with a tiny tiny knife. Also the pool was out of order but ultimately that's the only down sides otherwise it was great !

It was clean and with decent facilities. The bed is too big for me but it was comfortable. The bathroom is pristine.

It was noisy. Especially in the middle of the night. People coming home from partying, I wake up with loud people trying to get in to their rooms— knocking, turning the key to the doorknobs, footsteps. All loud and clear from my room.

There are many aspects of this stay that were dreadful. 1st night had to be moved rooms due to an awful drainage smell in the room of which happened at 11:30 at night. Shower was in the middle of the tray so when trying to shower flooring the bathroom floor . To be then moved to a similar room but very run down . bathroom shelf handing on for dear life ,and find hairs in the bed at 12.15am is the last thing you need . But oh it gets better to then have next door smashing the room up for 3 hours solid. We call reception who came up eventually at 3am to check everything was ok to be told yes everything fine for it then to carry on till 5am. We most certainly are very disappointed.
