The room was decorated very tastefully, it had all the amenities you could ask for and the bath/shower was absolutely fine. I didn't use the TV but I'm sure it would have worked! The location was perfect, and I was able to plan a 10k run alongside the manchester canal before going to work the morning after my stay. Parking was ample and I could see my car from my bedroom window, which for some odd reason always make me feel better ha!

Unfortunately, my room (room 6) appeared to be affected badly by the noise of the heating pump which comes to life at 3am. This pump whirs into action for a minute or so, then dies down, only to whir into action again, continuously for hours and hours and hours. Hence I was awake from 3. Of course, at that time of the morning, I had no idea what the sound was and was walking around the room trying to work out where it was coming from, switching on and off lights, and the bathroom light to see if it was the fan all to no avail, I went into the corridor to see if I could work it out but no I couldn't. In the morning I asked one of the staff to come into the room to listen (by this time it was about 0830). She told me it was the heating pump, and that she was sorry I had a crap night. That was it, and goodbye! I struggled to get through the day and I had a lot of concentrating to do having driven up 4 hours the day before, and then having to drive another 1.5 hours later on that afternoon to another place of work. I would have expected some kind of compensation. So beware room 6 and perhaps any room close to it.

Location for my purpose was excellent, having var parking was great. Being able to have a drink and order food was fab to have all on same premises

Location and character. Lovely big bath with plenty of hot water and fluffy towels. Thank you. On site parking for £9.50 a day.

On arrival we were informed a large function was taking place that evening. Apologies were offered for the noise. It was extremely noisy! There is no double glazing nor any curtains, just very dusty wooden blinds that don’t properly work. Soft furnishings in the room are dirty and worn. Very bright street lighting outside meant the rooms were never dark enough for a good night’s sleep. Continental breakfast is included but there was no healthy natural yogurt, only full fat flavoured yogurts. Although on request, staff did go across the road and brought back full fat natural yogurt. Thank you.
