Liked walking into the bright & modern foyer. Room was big, clean & facilities good. Really comfortable bed & quiet. Breakfast was really nice with a good selection. Location was a bit industrial & not much around. Good for us as a stopover on a road trip. Didn’t encounter many staff, when I did, they seemed friendly enough.

Excellent property, very spacious with a lounge and lovely conservatory with enclosed garden. Bedrooms all large and comfortable. Everything spotless. Hearty Italian meal at La Anchor across the road which was really convenient on a rainy Sunday.

Nothing. Steps throughout the properties downstairs areas and bathrooms were upstairs, just to be aware if mobility issues.

Very disappointed with the sofa bed. We booked the family room for three people as we all wanted a bed each, we are three adults. The sofa bed was so uncomforatble I had to move in the middle of the night :-(

As an older type of hotel it was very well kept and managed. Our room was very good and spacious considering the age of the hotel. Both breakfast and evening meals were excellent with very good staff

The room was clean, and staff were helpful. The location was ideal for a short visit to Liverpool.

There was water leaking from the radiator onto the carpet making the room smell damp and leaving a significant wet patch. The ventilation fan in the bathroom did not work. The surface of the sink was peeling and there was a hole in the bath tiles

Door handle fell off shower. Room a bit cold and no blankets. Pillows could be better. No plain yoghurt. Rolled oats would be good too.

The gym was horribly cramped with heavy equipment unsafely sticking upside down as if someone was playing dominoes. I was told on the day that there wasn’t any double rooms available and I would have to pay extra, when i asked how much it would be to just cancel the room and look elsewhere I was told I couldn’t? I felt pressured into paying more to upgrade. Brown stain on the wall next to bed on the left side and the room had unsafe smashed/cracked window, which when attempting to open just fall forward on to you, which is probably how it broke previously. curtains were also dirty too all which I had to pay extra for with an executive suite. Had the breakfast once which was mostly greasy food and was very bland and didn’t have many no pork options
