We booked this room very, very last minute and were extremely pleasantly surprised with how lovely our room was. We absolutely adored the woodland themed aesthetic and lovely rustic, cosy warm atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bed was perfectly comfortable, the room was supplied with all the amenities we needed and the shower ran lovely and hot, as well as being located in the stunning heart the of Peaks. We would definitely stay here again.

I like the price and the location, it was also very clean and I had a super room. Manisha was really welcoming; and as a regular customer she looks after me really well, and I’m always glad to see her on reception. It’s what a good hotel should have, staff who take notice and treat you well. It’s much appreciated. She knows my name, I don’t have to even have to say it.

No air con in rooms as I did inquire but there was a small fan .we couldn’t sleep as you could hear Creaking floors above ,and outside room .as people walked about into the early hours and early morning .so glad I only stayed only one night . Be prepared to pay £17 for a large Chardonnay.

Very odd smell in the entrance porch which got worse when it rained,it is however a very old building and the flat is in the basement so that might have something to do with it. There is a sink but no draining board which was a bit odd..none of the windows could be opened so there was no fresh air.

The telly in our room didn’t work. The man from reception was really lovely & helpful and came to sort it out but it took a long time, so would’ve been better if somebody had checked it was working earlier..! They did give us free munchies for having a knackered telly though, so that was very nice of them!
