Carol was extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her. The breakfast was extremely good with a selection of things to chose from. In the dining room you had a lovely outlook. My room was lovely, bed very comfortable with a nice warm duvet, bathroom was very clean with small bottles of shower gel, soap etc left for use if so wanted to. The house itself was amazing, clean and tidy with a lovely homely feel about it. Carol has a family dog named Benson, who was adorable, who didn't 'pester' you!, he'd come and say 'hello' but then just left you alone if you didn't want to make a fuss over him.

If I'm honest the only thing I didn't really like was the shower itself! It had a 'rain forest ' shower head so was set at just one height. I prefer a shower head that can be moved to the height I want it. But that's just my personal preference.

the position of the hotel is fantastic: two steps close to Paddington Station and 5 minutes walking to Hyde Park. Silent room: never listen to neighbours. I didn't tell that I prefered gluten free breakfast, but there was something for me. The room was really small, but for three/four days (and if you stay out full day) is ok. Comfortable tv position in front of the bed.

outward acoustics: I was on the third floor and I could hear every car. maybe it was my fault, but I couldn't use the shower. Room a little bit small.

The location was perfect, within walking distance from King’s Cross. The staff member (I didn’t catch his name) was very nice and friendly. We had been given a different downstairs (with no lift) but when he saw that we were travelling with a buggy and two small toddlers, he gave us another room on the ground floor without us asking. Thank you!

Our room was next to the street and so we could hear people talking, and smell cigarettes (with the occasional weed) through the window. But considering it’s central London, it wasn’t that bad!

They told us on arrival that they weren’t serving any food not even breakfast! But failed to reduce the price. The price was extortionate!

The staff didn’t seem happy! The guy who checked us in didn’t crack a smile and failed to give any information on where we could get food locally even though there was an array of restaurants & bars literally around the corner that we found the following day!
