This isn't just a place to stay, but an experience. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower excellent, the breakfast very good, but that doesn't describe the most interesting parts about staying here. You are in one of the most interesting Cambridge colleges, and have free range to explore whilst you are staying, including times and places which are usually off limits to tourists. I particularly enjoyed the Chapel with the stained glass windows by William Morris, and breakfast in the Great Hall.

It was sometimes difficult to find my way around, but the porters were very helpful.

The bar was lovely.

The room was tiny. The sound proofing was awful. Could hear the shower in room next door/above. Could hear conversations from room above. Breakfast was poor apart from the cooked options.

Had booked a double room but on arrival was told we had booked a small junior room and asked for my passport to check in. They then said oh we can upgrade you to a double room but when we got to our room was still a small junior. The staff are completely clueless. Our friends had also booked direct with hotel and paid but they had no room for them they had to wait 45 minutes for the manager then eventually got a room. The stairs on way down were flooded from the rain but they were still open to use no signs to warn you they really should have blocked them off. Breakfast was self serve for cereals and toast and was fresh coffee and juice. You had to order tea and cooked breakfast which took about 30mins to arrive. Dirty tablecloth’s and cutlery and cups not on table. Breakfast was ok but if I was paying £10 I would not of been very impressed. The service was not the best. Ashame as it is a beautiful hotel but the management completely let it down.
