Positive section of review
My dad and I had a short but wonderful stay at Portree guest house last week on our way up to Isle of Harris. The location of the guest house is a short walking distance to the town and also conveniently has parking on site. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The managers on site were extremely helpful, and even provided us with breakfast foods to go as we had to rush off to our ferry.

The shower was quite small but definitely manageable.

The location was excellent, close to the metro, super easy. The pillows and bed were good. The bed was not super big, but ok for 2. The shower (we didn't have a bathtub) was nice and clean. There was a small closet and a table with a chair. Our window looked out onto the backyard. There is a shop a few blocks open 24hs so in case you need to buy something (like the plug for the electricity) it was open.

The room was very small for 2 people, the bathroom door was right next to the bed, the bathroom itself was very small, you could hear people in the upper room. If we take into account the high price we spent it is not worth it at all, also keep in mind that it does not have breakfast. I think for this amount of money you can have better places.

I always have a good stay at the Abbey Guesthouse. It's a basic guesthouse, but super clean and the welcome is friendly and genuine which I really appreciate. It's perfect being so close to the train station and always quiet during the night. Shared facilities are small but more than adequate for a night or two.

The beds are a little old, but it's a minor point - I still slept fine. Room is small, but again a minor criticism considering I really only needed a room to sleep in.

Lovely country pub with tastefully decorated and very comfortable room. We received a warm welcome and can confirm the beer and cider is perfect! We also enjoyed the delicious freshly cooked breakfast.

The hotel was perfect for me for an overnight stay given I had an early flight in the morning.

The hotel is NOT in Terminal 2! It is squarely in the arrivals hall of Terminal 3. Because of this I struggled to find the hotel. If you arrive in Terminal 2 you must take the under ground tunnel from T2 to T3 arrivals. This information needs to be corrected and featured early in the booking process on Booking.com website. The hotel said they have tried to change it without success. If guests have any mobility issues the walk is a good 10 to 15 mins. Fyi the hotel that is at Terminal 2 is the Hilton.
