Sun 16th June, 2024. Fabulous setting right on the harbour side. Staff were very helpful even though they were super busy in the pub and restaurant, being Father's day. I arrived a little early, but was checked in no problem and my room (No.6) was a really great size. Two big windows overlooking the water, two tub chairs and tables, a large TV which could be moved around to face the sitting area, or the huge, super comfortable bed. Lovely clean bedding. A large built in cupboard for clothes was just inside the door, for shoes and bags. Lastly a nice big, clean, ensuite bathroom. Lots of loo roll, two good size drinking glasses and lots of clean towels. There was a unit by the seating area with coffee and tea facilities and lots of biscuits. There was also hot chocolate, bottles of water and beer. WiFi was good. Safe parking for my vehicle. Friendly people in the bar and around the area. I had a lovely evening meal and a superb breakfast.

The room was a little dusty in places, but I know they were quite under staffed. It was a little noisy until around 9pm, then nothing. Lovely and quiet and the next thing I knew it was morning.

The location was good. We would like to have had breakfast but it was not included in the tariff when we booked in January. We liked leaving our bags in storage after the check-out time, for us to come back and collect.

We would have liked another easy chair in the room. One chair for two people is just silly, as beds are too high for putting on shoes and doing up laces. There was room for one. We did not like having to haul bags up steps.

Super close to the cathedral which our room can overlook the cathedral from the window. Apart from the very central location, room is very spacious and clean. Also you can enjoy drinks and breakfast just by the doorsteps

Wonderful location, excellent ground floor disabled access room. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice including kippers smoked haddock and full English etc We were very impressed with it all.

A little dated, and could do with a refresh in rooms, but good sized rooms that are quite funky. Very clean, easy parking but pre-book. Loads of eating options close by. Friendly and helpful staff.

Pricey. No decent curtains (blinds let in lots of light).
