A big shoutout to Edi who works there for always taking extra special care of us and cooking us an amazing and tasty breakfast. We didn't meet João in person, but communication via Booking went very smoothly. Also the self check-in is very easy. As for parking: there are a few places in the driveway, but there also is a convenient public parking space nearby where we parked our car every night. The apartment is located in a quiet street, but is still pretty close to the city center (1.5km - 2km) where you can find all necessary supermarkets, restaurants, ... And it's also located quite central on São Miguel which makes it the ideal base to explore the entire island.”

  The location was excellent, Railway Station, Tesco etc., nearby. Nice nearby pub (The vagabond for Sunday Lunch and an evening meal). Local Chippy (Frasers) very ncie take-away fish and chips supper. Beacon Cafe, loveley cakes and a lunch. Lovely views of and walks around the Harbour. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Narrow Guage Railway well worth a visit along with a walk and look around the nearby "Eskdale Mill". The Beacon Museum and Cafe, well worth a visit. Michael Moon's Second Hand Bookshop in Lowther Street.

  (1)...The front door lock is probably worn as the key didin't always open it first time. (2)...The instructions for access to the apartment were not as clear as they could be. I suspect that they were never given to someone not associated with the property to test...! I intially assumed that the keysafe and keypad shared the same combination, but this wasn't the case. (3)...The Herring Gull nest outside the bedroom windows. The gulls squawked at you if you looked out of the window, neither could we open the windows. (4)...The furniture on the balcony was unusable as it had not been cleaned as a result of sea gull activity (poo)! (5)...The TV was somewhat fiddly as there did not appear to be a freeview signal and everything was via the internet. (6)...The mattresses were not partucularly comfortable. Item 3/4/5/6 seem to be recurring themes from comments left in the visitors book.

  Plenty space to park even an extra car park at weekends.. Beautiful building,comfortable seats throughout the bar and dining area.. On a sunny day, you can pleasantly sit outside the front,rear, and side of the building . The bus stop is at the front of the building . The food was delicious and would definitely stay here again.

  The location was lovely and the venue was beautiful, the facilities were pretty good but the pool was very cold. Breakfast included was amazing with lots of options.

  I was very disappointed by the Wi-Fi signal in our room, although they had a separate Wi-Fi for the bedroom it didn’t actually work, they had an option to use Netflix or to screen share your phone to the TV - but this also didn’t work which I thought was pretty pointless. There was no plug sockets next to bed either

  Breakfast was very good, but the things I liked most were the seats in the window of our room and the seating area outside.

  Person above me (I was in 166 and they were in 266) was smoking all night and throwing cigarette butts onto the roof by my room. The smell of smoke was overpowering all night. I got no rest at all because of this
