Apartment had everything we needed for our stay. Bed was so comfortable, didn’t want to get out of it. Donkeys were so cute and loved their carrots. Location was perfect, right by the sea. We managed to spot lots of seals which was the highlight of the trip.

This hotel is in a central location ideal for exploring Castleton, the surrounding area and walking. The rooms are beautiful and well equipped, with a good sized carpark at the rear.

I thought that the inclusive breakfast let the place down. It is served from a building at the side of the pub, mainly pastries, toasted sandwiches or pre packed bacon or sausage cobbs. The seating is outdoors or back in the bedroom.

We booked as a business taking a group to the hotel. From booking we were not that confident the staff took the booking correctly, they did, but we arrived fingers crossed. We have been here with groups on numerous occasions and were always offered the garage for our bikes, this time they told us we couldn't use the garage and to leave 8 rather expensive bikes on show to the main road, after some discussions we were allowed to keep them outside around the back of the hotel. We were also disappointed that the restaurant had changed and the food was a little, shall we say, mixed. Overall we felt that the hotel didn't really want our custom and was more suited to single bookings rather than group bookings so our next trip will be to somewhere else unfortunately. We really did like staying here in the past but it seems everything has changed.
