destination reviews from real travellers

How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Stunning property and wonderful helpful staff, very clean. Easy to park, nice spa facilities, great breakfast. Complimentary tea / coffee / bottled water

    • Negative section of review

Set up of the room was odd, couldn’t really see the TV from any seating area, underfloor heating in bathroom in June turned the room into a sauna, music from bar downstairs heard clearly in the room but it was turned off at 11pm so no big deal.

Entrance and staff. The entrance was clean staff were very helpful and friendly.

Bedroom was a superior twin, not really superior.very compact. The wet room was in the middle, so you had to walk through the dip on the floor to get to the sink, which when wet was not good. That really needs changing. Very noisy at night hence ear plugs were given.

Nice location, pleasant surrounds, easy to get in.

    • Negative section of review

Bathroom had no hand towel or soap, had to go buy some next day after arriving late. Double bed mattress was very worn and very uncomfortable. Bed linen felt old and unclean. Didn’t get a good sleep. A lot of mould on shower sealant especially behind shower door, broken tiles and broken bath surround. Heating system was turned down to minimal water temperature, which meant no hot water or heating worked. Had to google manual for heating system (boiler) to get it to warm up, no instructions left. there is no room thermostat / main temperature control. Fridge was very smelly, required all the shelves, and drawer be removed and inside cleaned due to old spillages not being cleaned up before we could use it. Yellow liquid at bottom of fridge. Broken light in bedroom above bunk bed was a hazard, missing lampshade and exposed halogen bulb in reach of children. Light bulb didn’t work anyway. No spare towels / linen were available. Was very basic accommodation.

My food was below par (forgive the pun) a manky ‘catering supplies’ burger with the cheese burnt , as in welded to the top of the pattie. Too tired to complain , won’t stop me staying there again but will be more selective with my food choices

Room was very dated. Stains on walls and ceiling. Poor ventilation in bathroom, tiles in the shower are crying for a new grout. Floor boards under the carpet are damaged and are squeaking. Hairdryer broken.
