Very nicely furnished and appointed room. Impressed to find a sink, fridge, microwave etc. Clean and comfortable. I was aware there was no breakfast available - not a problem. Location next to the Water of Leith nature reserve so I had a lovely walk in the evening!

The location was great and the staff were lovely, especially Nina ( I think that was her name). The food was really good and very tasty. We had breakfast and an evening meal in the Forest restaurant and I would recommend that. Also, it's dog friendly!

Our room number 9 really needs a mirror in the bedroom. The one in the bathroom was impossible for makeup or hairdrying. Towels were very small and thin, which was disappointing. Also, I think it would have been nice to have biscuits in the room. I would have expected that. It just needs that little extra.

Breakfast was very disappointing. Extra £5 charge on top of the £24pp for eggs and avocado on toast & it was very bland. Scrambled eggs in the english breakfast holding a cup shape on the plate, looking like they've been microwaved. Continental breakfast far more disappointing still. The rooms are rather old fashioned. Creaky floorboards, old decor and uncomfortable mattress. Even though it is nice to have bath robes, they do feel like sandpaper on your skin. Similarly, the bath towels WILL irritate sensitive skin, similar sandpaper texture The key word here is disappointing. Save your money and just get a premier inn. Their breakfast is 1000x better too. Some areas of the hotel look like they belong on an episode of Ghost adventures. This is the first negative review I have ever left and I'm hoping that convinces you of my sincerity.

Very convenient for the international centre and town centre. Nice swimming pool and great breakfast

A sign through to the international centre through cut-through and pointing out how close the park is out the back gate would be helpful!! Only knew because finally worked it out last time. Phone didn’t work for calling reception.
