The staff were amazing -very helpful. Nathan the night duty manager went out of his way when I was up early in the morning to make my staff memorable by chatting over coffee and giving me travel hints. I was especially grateful when Nathan showed me a quicker route to the NEC where the conference I was attending was located. I am to be back in Birmingham next year and will definitely be planning to stay with "Arden" again. When I needed an extension cord the staff were quick to grab one for me and offered a fan if needed (but wasn't required)

I booked through Booking.com as it said there was washing machine in the room. Unfortunately no washing machine but as I was heading back to London in a few days it wasn't an issue and I wasn't going to let this ruin my time in Birmingham

It's great it's next to the center, you can park nearby, easy to check in and check out. Kitchen was okay, bed was okay. Although it's under ground it got enough air and light trough windows. Sadly, that's all the good I can say.

When stepping in I found towel on ground so I already knew something is off. I saw dirt and a piece of lamp on the floor. After opening the bathroom door I saw the tub's side is taken off, there is mold under it, a piece of wood holding on the glass side. The pieces of the tub were next to the tap, also full with mold. The sink full with dirt and tools. There was also dirt in the tub and floor. The dirt was a bit less in the living room and kitchen but the bedroom floor was also dirty. It was like someone cleaned up then someone made alot of dirt on some parts of the apartment. There was also no hair dryer, no sponge or washing up liquid so I had to buy. It's not a big thing to buy a sponge but keep in mind the name: Luxury apartment 5 star. Luxury apartment and you have to see, smell mold in the bathroom and on windows, tiles. I messaged the host right away when realising these, I got an answer "we will send someone to clean" but nothing happened. The communication was one sided, no reaction or interest about the problems.

Welcome was lovely. Able to arrive early and leave cases until we returned for our room checkin. We were told we had a free upgrade, but on our return we were not given it, so quite disappointed. Room ok nothing special for a deluxe king.

Room was clean and generally fine for a one night stay. Kettle, hairdryer, en-suite, tv. Good location by the pier and if able bodied the town centre shops are walkable. Close to the payable car park.

Our room had a bath but no shower, so we did use this but would have preferred a shower. Family in another room did have a shower. Assumed all rooms would have a shower so if this is an issue may be worth specifically requesting a room with a shower. Beds are very hard, I like a hard bed but these mattresses are solid. Requested for rooms close together, they were on separate floors but maybe that’s all they had available. All 4 of us decided to stay at the hotel for the evening meal, all you can eat buffet for £15 each. So £60 in total spent and the food was not good, we were there as it opened for service 5.30pm expecting the food to be fresh at this point before it has sat a while. Chicken was dry to the point of being inedible, same with most other offerings, veg was the frozen mixed veg, soup tasted like a cuppa soup so presumably from cheap catering packs. Everything was processed cheap food. We are not fussy eaters but the food was terrible and not value for money, to the point that after that we agreed we were not going to risk paying £12 each for the breakfast buffet in the morning.

Staff were fantastic. Lots of small thoughtful touches like a wet costume bag at the swimming pool. Good biscuits, tea and coffee in room. All facilities very clean.

Beautiful home that is comfortable, spotlessly clean and close to everything. Parking is also a bonus. Robyn and Chris will look after you well

If I had to find something it would be that the TV was a little small for the room

An earlier breakfast time ie before 8.30am would be handy as we were on the Cumbria Way andcwere surprised that 8.30am was the earliest slot on a week day.

The Apart Rooms were easy to find, very well equipped and an ideal location just to the south of Aberdeen.
