The hosts couldn't do enough for you. They were both very friendly. Standing by the windows of the chalets you could watch the birds flying about and the bunnies hopping about. The chalets had everything you needed for self catering.

House was freezing cold when we arrived, couldn’t get the heating to work despite following the instructions in the manual. Rang the owner who said she wouldn’t be able to get a plumber out at such short notice so there were 2 small oil radiators we could use, these would have done very little. My parents are very elderly so can’t cope with baltic temperatures. After some time we eventually managed to get the heating to work but it took all of that night to heat the house through and get rid of the damp air as it is a really old building with very thick walls. It totally spoilt our first day/night, my parents were sitting in their coats. It appeared that the house had lain empty for some time, surely trying the heating before people arrive would be helpful especially as it was late on a Friday so no hope of any resolution. Had we not travelled such a distance I would have just turned around and gone home. Real shame as it is a lovely village and in a good location for surrounding areas, would not stay again.
