  The hotel is a old 'modernised' Inn in the Victorian times and that twee charm has been retained. The room although a single had everything in it that I needed. Lovely ensuite bathroom looks very new. The breakfast was really good, quality ingredients cooked very well (steady on, on the bacon though :)) It's a lovely, quiet setting overlooking the loch Albie? Very friendly, attentive staff. The owner was very accommodating very late booking/check in so I was grateful for that. I hope to return on my visits to Aviemore!

  The only thing I'd be tempted to look at is the bedroom windows blind - a bit fiddly. Venetian possible better. TV was a bit too SMART for me, but I wasn't staying to binge watch!

  Lovely cottage, more spacious than we expected. Comfy beds, lovely fire. The children loved the field and watching lots of rabbits living around us. Very quick into Aviemore and all the activities. Good communication with the host. Overall a wonderful stay.

  Not really an issue at all but the kitchen is very functional (rather than homely) and could do with some more basics such as olive oil.

  Location was excellent. Right next to a bus stop. 20 mins from Keswick. In the Dolly wagon there was a heater, hob and fridge. There was 2 toilets and a shower in site. Lady who ran the site was very knowledgeable about the local area.

  What a terrific setting! The main building is a magnificent architectural structure with an expanse of beautifully manicured grounds. There are also pockets of secluded seating and garden spaces. Excellent!

  My only gripe was the bathroom in room 84. It was tired and a little shabby and the 'hot' water taps were not quite hot enough.

  The guy on reception was very helpful. Sorted a parking space for me. Girl on reception l think was new and appeared nervous but very pleasant and l’m sure she’ll do well. All in all a pleasant experience.

  We loved the spacious junior suite, the quality service given by the staff, the facilities on offer and beautiful grounds of the hotel.
