The hotel with its bar and restaurant are located in an awesome garden and I would definitely recommend sitting in the old greenhouse for dinner. The bar is equally pretty and offers a large range of drinks at reasonable prices. The Sunday night I spend there, they also head live traditional music played by locals and also some visitors. After closing, the whole place was very quiet and I had a great night. Breakfast is a real highlight here, with freshly prepared traditional Scottish options and great coffee.

For the price, there is nothing I would criticize. Just keep in mind that this is an old building with limited space in the rooms.

I had the place to myself and was self-catering, so it was easy to cook, eat, sleep, etc. It is in a beautiful area and very convenient for hill-walking. The place is part of a charity with limited funds and the man in charge was very helpful.

The wall heaters did not seem to work. Floors are tiled and cold and the washroom and showers have concrete floors. I got used to it after a few days. The booking.com info was not wholly accurate, as you do not need to book parking and there is Wifi available.

The hotel, obviously being old, seems a little out of date, the paint is falling off the hot tub, But the front desk, bar and breakfast staff, made up for it, they really went above and beyond and was so friendly

Such a beautiful and spacious caravan. It is clean and well maintained. It’s the first caravan I’ve ever stayed in with an en-suite that has a bath in it!
