The owner Ian was very welcoming and carried our case up to the room which was basic but very clean and with an extremely comfortable bed. There was no breakfast but you could help yourself to toast and cereal etc in the kitchen. The hotel is at the head of the high Street with with various shops bars and restaurants. All in all great value for the money.

I was not expecting much having seen previous reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable and a very generous size with a sofa! The bathroom and general facilities were basic but was as advertised and reflected in the very reasonable price.

At the time we were there, the restaurant was having works done, so there was no facility for food. However, the local town had lots of lovely places to eat.

I got my money back. Accommodate may be suitable for someone with little luggage and happy to share facilities, wanting a bed only, as there's nothing else able to fit in the room.

Walked in after been greater by a guest staying there. Saw the size of the room, no lock on e for, tired separate shared bathroom and walked out. Didn't stay.

The interior main area was really nice, definitely better than expectations. Lovely staff too.

Rooms were a bit tired, more like a motel style, but comfortable and clean. No overhead main lights though.

Parking only available on the street from 1800 to 0830 on weekdays, if you don’t arrive close to 1800 it can be difficult to park. There is other parking close by however which is can be used but a short walk away.

The hotel is tired. I think they are trying to improve it as there is evidence of recent painting. On first impression, after climbing 3 flights of very old stair carpet, was that it was clean. However there was nowhere in the bathroom for toiletries etc, not even on the small basin. I hate hotels that waste water. Sophia is probably at the top of water wasting. There was no plug in the basin and it took 20 minutes to get a low flow of lukewarm water out of the shower even though the water from the basin tap was hot. The mattress was very soft. I wouldn't feel confident of hanging much on the bit of equipment provided for clothes. It's been a long time since I had to stay in London and this seemed expensive for what it was.
