Comfortable beds and spacious room. Location close to the airport which is what we were looking for. The old building is attractive and plenty of parking.

The receptionist booking us in was poor..indifferent, disinterested and unhelpful. He scribbled the location of our room on a map and dismissed us! The rooms are difficult to find and a long way from the main building …in our case 2 lifts and stairs were involved. Food and drink service were average. They forgot to put 2 drinks on our food bill and called our room after we had gone to bed and were asleep to ask us to come back down and pay when it could have been done on check out in the morning!

I had fish and chips for the evening meal, which was ample and tasty. The location was central to the town.

It wasn't clear on how to check in, you just had to stand in the queue at the bar, and wait your turn. When I bypassed it and asked a member of staff, I was greeted with 'in a minute' I booked a family deluxe room but got a family room right next to the beer garden, which wasn't the best. We had to walk past the beer garden to get back into the pub, the comments that was made by the Stagg doo as we went past wasn't appropriate. The evening meal I had booked was a bit disorganised and the waitress was a bit rude.

The property is quite tired, the front door is hard to lock, leaking kitchen tap, and a blown worktop. No lighting a night from the car parking to the property is also not ideal for dogs as no green spaces around and again not an ideal walk to the dog beach in darker mornings or nights
