There was a wide breakfast selection giving a choice of continental breakfast with home made granola or English breakfast with locally produced food. There was also the choice of local kippers. The setting is in open countryside with long view over the hills and many period details.

First night room, we asked to change due to leaking from the shower room into the bedroom. Carpet wet through. Room was just okay but missing carpet to tile cover so stubbed toes going into the bathroom. Just the once and not to be caught out a second time. Second day room was an improvement but still nothing special and not cleaned properly with items on the floor and the rooms needed a refresh. Didn't ask for any refund due to the first room issues as the staff dealt with it quickly.

There was no breakfast, which one would expect in a hotel. The bathroom stinked. Parts of the douche and wc came loose

Room very small and opressive looking on to three other walls child wanted pancakes machine not working asked for help twice in the end he had toast .meanwhile staff all sit. together with massive break fast all together not a plesent experience complained when paying for so called breakfast and was told the pancake machine was now working no one said anything to me .i worked I hotels for years never have I seen a less careing team of folk
