Friendly and helpful reception, beautiful room and decor. I especially appreciated the chilled water and refillable water bottled provided by the elevator on my room floor! Pillows and bed were comfortable. Fantastic location - I was able to easily walk to parks and get food near the conference I was attending. Easy access to airport on blue line. Would definitely recommend and return if work brought me back to this area!

FAQs about hotels in Chicago

Our Kind of Town

Standing proud beside Lake Michigan, Chicago is down-to-earth, friendly, and full of culture. It has outdoor art by famous artists including Chagall and Picasso, and there are some fascinating architectural works from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Home to blues and house music, Chicago has an eclectic music scene that reflects its spirit. The Windy City is also a pioneer in a variety of Americanized dishes from it's European immigrant roots like deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog.

The world’s first skyscraper and Ferris wheel were erected in Chicago. The latter, on Navy Pier, is one of the Midwest’s most visited sights. Also famed is the ‘L’ transport system, whose raised trains circle The Loop, the main business district. Check out its skyline reflection in the shiny bean sculpture in huge Millennium Park.

Home of the Bulls and Bears, Chicago is a stronghold of sport and has teams playing baseball, basketball, American football and hockey, to name a few. If you get a chance, try to catch a game.

Chicago Midway and Chicago O’Hare Airport are both on the outskirts of this vast city, so make sure to leave enough time for travel from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or hostel. And all that jazz.

    Amazing city, so different!

Amazing city, so different! There are many opportunities here - both cultural recreation (Chicago Theater, Field Museum, Art Institute, Lincoln Park and Zoo, etc.) and others. There are many cafes, restaurants, the streets are very clean, the people are different, free and happy. We were in the downtown and northern part of the city, as well as on the embankment. There are bicycles in the city for easy walking if you need to see a lot of sights in a short time. I want to return to this city again and again! We tried Deep dish pizza at Giordano's - it's gorgeous!

If you are a foodie, Chicago is a great place to be.

If you are a foodie, Chicago is a great place to be. The variety of food options in Chicago is endless; authentic ethnic food from around the world is available if you are willing to look for it. There are also classic Chicago foods available, beyond the deep dish pizza: there are the Chicago style hot dogs, Italian hot beef sandwiches, overstuffed gyro sandwiches and so on. Try a longstanding venue: have a burger or hot dog at a Billy Goat Tavern & Grill (try the original on lower level Michigan Avenue. Or have a steak at Miller's Pub on Wabash in the Loop. The light show set to music at the magnificent Buckingham Fountain is an experience. The central water jet shoots 150 feet straight up in the air. The only downside to it is all the "rickshaws" that are gaudily lit up themselves and all blare the worst music on earth; the cruise around the fountain and hang around it looking for customers. Chicago has many little known historical and cultural gems; for example: the Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures (formerly known as the Oriental Institute) Museum at the University of Chicago, not far from the Museum of Science and Industry. There you will find great exhibits of ancient artifacts from the Middle East. There is no set cost of admission, but they recommend a donation of $10 per person if you are able, well worth the $10. Another gem in that area is the Japanese Garden in Jackson Park. Like the building that houses the Museum of science and industry, it is a remnant of the 1893 Columbian Exposition/World's Fair. It is a small but beautiful out of the way gem not many people get to. A short distance from the Japanese Garden is a 1/4 size replica of the magnificent Statue of the Republic also from the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition. She is a beauty! Finally enjoy a long stroll along the Riverwalk along the Chicago River and Navy Pier.

Chicago is a fun place with lots to do. I’d definitely recommend the art museum and an architectural boat tour. Bring a jacket and comfortable shoes though. The temperature fluctuates, but walking everywhere nets the best experience!

The beauty of downtown Chicago is awe inspiring.

The beauty of downtown Chicago is awe inspiring. The city is a spectacular architectural destination. City is clean, traffic polite, streets well marked. There are plenty of great places to eat from five star to lunch trucks. Okay I admit, the Chicago hot dog is the best I’ve ever had. I passed on the deep dish pizza which looked like heartburn but the thin crust pizza at Geno’s was excellent. After my visit, I’m proud of this great city! There is plenty to do. I would love to return.

This was my first trip to Chicago and I loved it!

This was my first trip to Chicago and I loved it! It was a clean city and pretty easy to navigate once we figured out the public transit system (which was not hard). My favorite activities were the Architecture Boat Tour and the Art Institute of Chicago. Our favorite restaurant was Russian Tea Time (near the Art Institute). The food was delicious and the prices weren't too bad, but the service was very slow the night we were there. I think there were not enough waiters to cover the crowd. I would love to go back to Chicago when we have more time to spend there.

Beautiful city with lots of interesting architecture,...

Beautiful city with lots of interesting architecture, outstanding food options, lots of cultural inspiration and closeby beaches. Safety has been a major concern before the trip. We did not encounter any issues despite using th famous red subway line daily for a full week. Still, statistics will not lie and you definitely need to watch your steps. In the subway, make sure you are not alone and probably best to be in the first or last car to be able to leave the station fast in case of any issue. Some risk will remain but we walked for kilometers across the whole central town.

Location is the best in Chicago. If you are going to the city for visiting, this is the best location. Just in the heart of Chicago loop, in front of the Chicago River, easy walking to the millennium park, magnificent mile, skydeck, river walk, cloud gate, Chicago art institute, grant park and others. Location is great in downtown Chicago. Grand station on the red line is only a couple of minutes walk away; the river is about 5 minutes and the Navy Pier is about 20 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool on the 17th floor that is open long hours (6am-10pm). I was fortunate to have a room on that floor and so I made good use of it. I never had to wait long for the lifts.

The check in went smooth, Adrian at the reception was really nice and received us with a smile and also was very heplful with explaining how to go about with parking which was couple minutes (about 5min) walk from the hotel. I think we got a good deal for the parking given the prices of the parking in downtown Chicago, we paid 50 $ for 2 nighs.

Great location and comfortable to come from the airport to Monroe metro Station. Cheap and convenient. The Irish pub of the hotel is great.
