I was attending a conference at the Museum about a 5 minute walk away so the hotel filled my needs. It is in the city centre and there's a bus stop from the airport very close by. It was disconcerting though that the police were dealing with an aggressive homeless lady just when I got off the bus. I asked for a quiet room with a view. There was some noise of doors closing but the view from the 5th was hardly inspiring (see photo)! It didn't help that it was cold and rainy while I was in Wellington! The décor was mostly black and dark beige - all a bit depressing. And there was no breakfast served in the hotel, only drinks available in the lobby. There are plenty of eateries nearby.

Didn't try any extras but having a washing machine was great to have so we didn't have to go to a laundromat, but it would be nice if there was washing powder to buy in the hotel instead of looking for our own. Great rooms and super clean, the area is super close to the shopping areas but quite a busy road

There are lots of great sites such as the Museum within a relatively confined space. Good public transport is available. There are lots of good restaurants and cafes. In summer, the beaches and coastal areas are lovely and very accessible. Its worth visiting other suburbs such as the Hutt Valley, Porirua, Kapiti Coast and Wairarapa, also with good museums, beaches, eateries.

Our Capital city is a vibrant and fascinating city.

Our Capital city is a vibrant and fascinating city. Love the restaurant/cafe/bar life - what a buzz. And all within walking distance of most hotels. Ate at Ortega - wonderful fish on menu - and friendly efficient staff. Excellent evening. Actually we are not young - my husband is 5 months away from hitting 80 and I'm a year behind him. We are however, young at heart.

We used Uber for all our inner city trips, it was so easy to get around. The 3 hour bus tour of the city was a highlight, the guide Hamish was excellent. We ate dinner at Grazie Italiano at Double Tree By Hilton, it was superb, food, service, the whole nine yards. Te Papa was good but The Gallipoli exhibit was closed as was the cable car both of which we would have loved to visit.

We live not too far away on the Kapiti Coast.

We live not too far away on the Kapiti Coast. This trip was to give my two grand-daughters, aged 4 and 6, their first experience of staying in a Hotel. We had a great time! Wellington is an easy city to get around. We spent time at the park on the waterfront, took the ferry to Days Bay, and ate the best ever doughnuts from the foodtruck on the Wellington waterfront!! Thank you to the gentleman for making them feel so welcome!! We went back for seconds the next day! And the weather was kind to us too!

Te Papa museum is a must. I did an e-bike ride in Remutaka. This was lovely but one must be cautious especially if not used to bikes. I fell off but didn't get injured, thankfully. I would have loved to eat out more. Plenty of small coffee shops and spots to have a bite or cuppa. Oh, and if you are into music meditation, you MUST attend Bhakti Lounge Kirtan. For NZD15, your heart, soul, and stomach are all happy!

A new hotel right in the middle of Wellington City. Just a few blocks away from CBD, Oriental Bay, Cuba Street, etc. Close to everything. Hotel staffs are very kind and professional. Room is tidy and spotlessly clean, too. The laundry machine and dryer are such a bonus and very useful. We appreciated the attention to every detail from the hotel.
