The food was very good, glad to see they had Fortunes Kippers on the menu.
The location is ideal for. All the sites ..the199 steps to the Abby, the Captain Cook Museum
We had Sunday Lunch, outstanding oysters and Roast beef and Yorkshire Pudding..the potions were very generous

A last minute trip to Whitby for Goth Weekend. Absolutely fabulous and our lovely accommodation made it all the more worthwhile. Beautiful fishing town, very friendly locals and lots of quirky shops and great places to eat.

Of course there is the link for Goth and Steampunk weekends, our main reason for revisiting, but the town, sites, people and the Abbey are there all year round - well worth a visit at any time of year. Whitby is our favourite place & we go several times a year. There are some lovely eating places, bars & coffee shops {the flat white coffee in Coopers is the best). Parking was safe and straight outside the bottom gate. Whitby township is only a short walk away and contains numerous dinner options. Really enjoyed our second visit to this lovely B&B. My room was comfortable, lovely wash facilities, breakfast was amazing and staff very efficient. Hotel was very lovely and so glad it has kept it’s charm and not been modernised . Perfect spot for both day and night.

I watched the boats go in and out early morning as the sun rose. The noise from the pub below did not bother us in the slightest, the bar staff are lovely and the pub has a great atmosphere! The room was small but clean & the bed was comfy. There is a private car park at the back of the building which is a rarity in Whitby!
