The location was only a 10 minute walk from the busier hotel hub which was an easy flat walk. We did feel a bit isolated though as there was never anyone congregating in the simple lobby.

Fantastic helpful and friendly staff. The hotel forewarned that upgrade work was occurring on the property. Our room was upgraded to minimise impact of work. Price, location, and parking for a larger vehicle, are important to us and Rose Park met all those needs. And being able to watch a movie on Netflix on the TV was nice.

Called the "City of Sails" due to the large number of yachts anchored in Waitemata Harbor, Auckland is the largest city of both New Zealand and Polynesia. Built on the Auckland Volcanic Field featuring about 48 extinct volcanoes, this city truly is a blast!
Auckland is a real cultural mix with strong Asian, European, Maori and Polynesian influences, celebrated in frequent festivals and sports events. Some examples of these cultures can be seen at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, one of the best in New Zealand. For more, try the upmarket dining of Viaduct Harbour.
Another must-see is the tallest free-standing tower in the Southern Hemisphere, the Sky Tower. If you’re feeling up to the challenge, you can even perform the Sky Jump, a controlled base jump from 630 feet!
Climbing the volcanic cones as well as the stunning Auckland Harbour Bridge will provide unforgettable, panoramic views of the city’s skyline. For a different perspective, why not try a cruise or sea kayaking?
Getting to the city center is an easy trip from Auckland International Airport. Find modern hotels, comfortable motels and cheap hostels on Booking.com, sure to have the perfect place to stay for your trip.

Although we were in Auckland for a Trade Show Event, it was the atmosphere being down at the Viaduct amongst it all, like looking out to the beautiful yacht's parked in the viaduct, the restaurants & cafes.
Just around the corner was the sky city tower & casino which was only a few minutes walk away.
Our uber was so nice & friendly like everyone that we met in Auckland.

Stayed in Auckland many times but this time I want to return.
The viaduct is vibrant and lots to see without having to get in the car.
Lots of Restaurants and Bars and action.
We ate in the Viaduct and avoided going up town. Auckland is quite hilly and disjointed.

I lived the first 30+ years of my life in Auckland, and was...
I lived the first 30+ years of my life in Auckland, and was a hotel Concierge in several of its best hotels for 10 of those. From that perspective, I have a detailed and intimate knowledge of the city’s many (once) great attributes.
As the country’s primary gateway, with most of New Zealand’s more famous attractions found outside of Auckland, the city nevertheless did once manage to offer some unique opportunities -Muriwai and the west coast beaches, Rangitoto extinct volcano exploration, Waiheke Island vineyard dining, and even limited whale watching options just 30mins sailing from the CBD.
But that was in its helsion days some 20 years ago. Since then, and particularly since C19, both central and local government have sort to systematically drown it in debt, massacre it’s infrastructure, and general make it a much less attractive place to visit, let alone live or work. As such, I avoid Auckland as much as I can. It is still easily the biggest population centre in NZ, but the fact that construction is stalled in the North Island (2024), but not in the South Island, suggests that Kiwis are leaving it to the new arrivals. Auckland certainly isn’t Gaza, but it’s nothing like it once was either.
Note - I didn’t comment on the “places” listed because my opinions would appear callous -hence no comment.

We were here as a family.
We were here as a family. It is perhaps not the most family friendly place right in the city so we drove out to other places outside of the city everyday.
There were lots of car parks doing cheap "early bird" car parks so parking is good value for a capital city making driving more affordable. Parking on the road costs alot more though.
The food options are good. From food courts to K Road, the Sky Tower and more fine dining. There is a new food court and new shopping lanes in the old shopping mall on the end of queens Street near britomart that was quite cool and the shopping options and quality has greatly increased since last time I was in Auckland.
There are a number of options for work out classes and gyms including hot yoga and hiit plates.
We found that there was a general calm about the place compared to many capital cities and although it rained alot we found that the sun returned quite quickly.
There are lots of pay to ride scooters dotted around good for saving the children's legs. It cost around ten dollars to get from 2/3 way down queen street to the bottom near the harbour.
There is an arcade and cinema halfway down queen street, the arcade was very reasonably priced and you top up a card which you can use over different occasions if you want to.
The sky tower was a nice evening with a great view of sunset and the city.
People are very friendly and chill here.
There is good access to soo many beaches and the many other tourists sports like the mineral baths, glow worms, lake taupo, the many many beaches and bays, a butterfly park and rainbows end also within easy driving distance and lots of malls just off motorway 1 both North and south in direction.
I’ve been staying at this property on and off for over a decade.
Its location in central Auckland, easy connection to the motorway in Greenlane, the airport, and other destinations like the Hospitals, Spark Arena and Eden Park is perfect for me.
The property itself is still well-maintained and very comfortable, with close proximity to restaurants, fast food, gas stations, supermarkets etc.
Newmarket and Parnell are a short drive or bus ride away, as is Mt Eden and the CBD for that matter!
We stayed there during the wind storm and our flight got delayed for a day. Most of the hotels were either fully booked or changed their pricing to outrageously high. Luckily the front desk staff was super helpful and managed to extend our stay for one more night due to a last minute cancellation by other clients.
The room was spacious, clean and well-designed. front desk was 24 hours which was very helpful. it’s about a 10-15 min walk to the city centre with lots of dining options.
The Naumi Auckland Airport Hotel is a wonderful oasis about 10 mins drive from the airport off the Kirkbride off-ramp. It is my favourite hotel near the airport for an overnight stay. Quality fixtures, fittings, decor and comfort creatures to make for a very enjoyable stay. Great staff, easy carparking outside and easy access to and from the airport. Room rates when booked in advance are very good value for money when comparing quality, comfort, amenities and location.
This was a last minute booking. I will definitely look at staying again if I have a night planned in the city. Great location, close to everything. My room was spacious and very clean. Everything you would need. Bed was comfortable and bathroom clean.
On site parking was fantastic, not many hotels in the cbd offer such convenient affordable parking. Definitely made the stay better knowing my car was right there.
Will definitely stay again and recommend it to others.
We stayed in the Ambassador Suite. It was very spacious, with a large lounge, dining table, small kitchen, comfy king bed and a large bathroom. The unit was clean and overlooked a swimming pool and had views over a lagoon. The property is located 25 minutes drive from the airport, but with easy access to Auckland CBD. Sylvia Park Mall is 15 minutes walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful and responded promptly and effectively to our requests.
Excellent location right next to train and bus stations!
New, modern apartments and the common areas e.g lift and foyer were cleaned every day. Lovely, big balcony.
The staff were great at communicating prior to check in with very helpful instructions which made check in seamless.
Be aware the paid car park they recommend is closed during the night so if you have an early start for the airport (like I did at 4am), you’ll be locked in.
I needed a cheap place, handy to the city and airport, and this place fit the bill.
The hotel is dated but the room was very clean, secure and well maintained for its age.
The room was fairly large with direct access to the pool area (useful if the weather was better), the bed was comfy and the shower pressure good.
At this price point, this is a great place to crash for a few nights.
This was the perfect hotel for an overnight after our international flight. Very clean, easy to get to from the airport and the restaurant/bar was very good. We were able to get well rested before beginning our travels in New Zealand. The staff were all very kind and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and happy. Thank you
Good location close to Auckland Airport. Nostalgic Kiwi Bacon statue on roof. Staff member was very helpful and obliging.
24 hour checkin. Free parking. Upstairs room was quiet. Bed comfortable. Plenty of hot water in shower. Ok for a last minute booking and bed for the night close to airport after a late flight. Free parking outside.
The central location of the hotel means that you're close to almost everything in Auckland CBD area. The staff are very helpful and happy to help. Having breakfast included in the package is another plus. Nearness to the Skycity for airport and intercity buses is a big plus.
SkyCity Hotel is in the center of everything, including the Sky Tower - which one accesses through the lobby. The rooms were large, well stocked and comfortable. The airport bus comes directly to the hotel. We would definitely stay here again on another trip to Auckland.
The location was great! Very convenient and close to all the amenities. There's a Metro Countdown and a very nice cafe right underneath the hotel. The beds are comfy and the staff are very helpful. Would recommend it to whoever wants to explore Auckland CBD.
What's not to like? Great view, free parking, convenient quiet location, clean spacious rooms, friendly staff and all for a much better price than other hotels in the Auckland cbd. Oh and the restaurant has a good selection of meals at reasonable prices.
The lock box was well located. Comfortable stay and location is great, close to airport. 30 min drive to Auckland CBD during off peak timings. Getting in & out of the motorway is very easy. Wifi worked well. Overall, a good experience.
Super close to the Auckland Airport and accessible with the Park and Ride free bus. Major win for us as we had a million peices of luggage. Rooms are quiet and super dark. Staff was friendly and helped me print some travel documents.
We loved the breakfast included in the stay. The location was perfect for meeting friends and enjoying the city. The parking around was very helpful. When we came back to Auckland, will check this wonderful hotel to stay in again.
Convenient location near the airport. McDonalds three doors down made getting a quick breakfast convenient before hitting the road. We stayed in the large two bedroom unit. Clean and simple. Parking is easy and secure.
Great breakfast and nice to have airport shuttle. Take the shuttle to the airport and catch the bus to the train to go to Auckland CBD. The gym was small but nice and sign says a new gym/pool are coming soon.
The location. Shame about the lack of signage leaving the carpark area and trying to get to Novotel. People at the end of microphones/phones rather rude given the chaos that is Auckland Airport parking.
