  The breakfast was very good.Generous portions and good quality food. The staff were efficient,friendly and helpful. The location overlooking the reservoir was lovely with lots of wildlife. I saw a barn owl early one morning flying at close quarter, which was exceptional. Location was ideal for exploring the many harbours and bays and the moors.

  Visited the Crowne Plaza for an overnight stay before catching the Steampacket ferry for an IOM TT trip - the staff were amazing, getting us to park the bike right outside the hotel so it was safe and helping with advice re: a city tour - literally couldn’t have been closer to the check-in for the ferry!

  Weve stayed here a few times and we love everything about it. Location, staff, breakfast, cleanliness 😍 The bar man was "boss" lol. He was very helpful and funny.

  Great location and everything we needed for our stay. - a very comfortable home. Loved having an ensuite in each bedroom! Easy walk to and from the bus each day.

  It can get a little noisy - the bedroom shook when there was heavy traffic in the street below but other reviews had already shared this, so we were warned!

  Good location and the lodge was very homely. The owner was lovely and accommodating (free biscuits and milk on arrival - fantastic touch!).

  Could have done with a couple of smaller, deeper bowls for breakfast. The ones in the lodge were a little too large for us. The mattress in the master bedroom was a little too springy for our liking and might have needed replacing as it was quite difficult to get to sleep.
