The location is perfect for anyone doing the NC500, 40-60 minutes away from John o groats. Nice quiet village, had a late evening walk down to the harbour after dinner. Everyone I seen in the village were friendly. Sam couldn’t have been a better host, I was travelling alone and can often feel a little out of place but She was really friendly and my stay felt more like being in a friends home. I had my motorbike outside the front of the hotel, without asking Sam asked if I’d like to put my bike in the shelter around back (renovated stables) to keep it out the rain - didn’t need to but she did which was a nice touch. There’s room for plenty bikes round back so perfect for a group! tucked up safely away so I could sleep easy. Dinner was great - fish and chips! Breakfast was spot on too! Looking forwards to returning.

We loved our stay!! Cozy room, very friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Mad sure to take full advantage of the beautiful outdoor sitting area - so peaceful :)

The bathroom door did not close The coffee machine leaked water over our stuff Shower temperature control needed to be held in place with one hand whilst showering Other issues with room allocation made what was meant to be a nice anniversary trip a bit humiliating. Not an overall pleasant experience

The breakfast was very poor. Room facilities were not maintened at all. The dining table was trembling. The office chair and the couch were creaking. The room was poorly cleaned. The waste bins were not emptied every day. We were not given fresh towels and toilet paper as scheduled, so we had to more than two times in our stay for renewal.

Check in was awful the guy shouted behind the desk. You had new staff on it was mad. Room was awful the price you pay and no option of twin beds just given a double. Check out is 10am wow that’s mad Just awful customer service
