There was a friendly welcome with lots of effort to make us feel at home. The property is quirky but nice - the goats, alpacas and sheep are lovely. You can tell the owners / their family want you to have a good time and settle in. The room had a comfy double bed with a smaller bunk bed.

Unfortunately a few things were off about the stay, which may be down to the owner being away. The room does not have a lock and the shower in the bathroom did not have hot water. The general cleanliness could also do with improvement. We were a bit unclear on if breakfast was included, the owners put out bread and jam for us which was lovely but unfortunately the bread was mouldy. There were a few small attentions to detail which we felt were lacking.

Great location for NEC, just a few minutes walk. Good clean room, with a comfortable bed. Big towels and tea making facilities. All staff lovely and friendly. Good breakfast options in a clean and bright breakfast room. Nice and quiet during the night.

The resturant was unfortunatly very poor. Waited 40 minuites for food and once arrived it was not up to expectation. We ordered 2 roast dinners. The menu advertised a large option, when requesting we were advised that they don't offer the large. Instead I had been offered some extras although these were charged and ended up costing more than the large roast. Unfortunatly the food had little flavour, 3 small bits of cauliflower cheese (one of the extras), oven cooked roast potatoes, small amount of gravy etc. After spending nearly 50, for a meal worth half. We were unfortunately disappointed. The room was a decent size however, In need of some modernisation. Dark wooden windows and skirting along with dark flooring make the room feel very cold. The modern shelf and desk feel slightly out of place. Ensuite, shower was small but manageable. That said if you didn't want to wash your hair you will be disappointed unless you have a shower cap. The flooring was clean, however the room does need a bit of TLC.

Pillow too thin so my neck hurt in the AM. No shower curtain, water splashed everywhere, no soap in dispenser for hand washing. 8 black hairs in my bed, I’m blonde.

Everything!!!! Looked like a prison block from the outside. The roads were full of pot holes. The roooms were all over the place. No lifts. We had to drag our cases up several stairs, down stairs, round weird corners and eventually found the room. it was shocking. very delapitated, needed several coats of paint etc. Furniture very poor. We managed to find another entrance at the end of the carpark which was nearer our room. The reception did not tell us this???? The furniture was shocking and full of chipped paint. The wall mirrow was hanging off its hooks and nearly fell on me. Told reception but they turned a blind eye. The TV channel were all over the place. Not the usual channel 1234 which is standard and what we are used to. We gave up in the end. The food was pretty dire. I left most of it. I had th battered fish which was the most greasiest batter I have ever had. So overall, this is surel not the standard Hilton. Perhaps Stoke -on Trent is a bit down market?? . Sorry Hilton, but you really need to up your game. I would NOT stay here again and would recommend people to stay away.
