The location is very good, easy to take all kind of transportation to those sight seeing sites. The host is very helpful. As my husband didn't feel well, she always sent regards to us. Thank you!

Staff were very friendly and welcoming like staying in someones home. Great retro style. handy for everything. The degustation meal offered at one of the sister guesthouses was amazing.

This is a wonderful place. The staff were welcoming from the word go and advised us on where to go for the time we had there. The location is perfect for exploring the city. The room with a great river view was clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay. Also, the Tati (the bar underneath) is very cool with a nice vibe and great food. Check out the Sunday jam session too!! There are some great bars and restaurants on the other side of the square too, with good happy hours!! Loved it.

Noise of bars underneath and opposite opening all night on a Saturday to 8am Sunday. Our fault for not closing the adequate windows and putting the air con on.

I requested higher floor but was given a room on 2nd floor. The room does not have a view either. The breakfast is nice, but it does not change, so after 5 days it can be a bit boring.

The staff was super! They greeted me warmly and made my stay very comfortable. I only wish that I had booked a longer stay.

The immediate neighborhood was sketchy, but once inside the guesthouse it felt safe!

From the very beginning (including many emails to organise restaurants and tours) we were warmly welcomed by Rita via e-mail. And on the day of arrival by Fatima. We loved the location. Close to the Mercado (Market) supermarket, tram, train, funicular, restaurants and bars.We were given an amazing amount of information. The breakfasts were a delicious start to the day. Including a house designed newsletter of the day. We were an adult family of 10. We loved the rooms. They were large and high ceilinged. With a view from all windows. The most important thing that we appreciated was that we felt like we were at home, and not at a stuffy hotel. The reception refridgerator was offered on an honesty system. Take what you need (water, wine, beer, snacks), write it on the wall, and pay for it all at check out. Great system!

There was nothing we didnt like. My only one tiny minor thing was that I think proper shampoo and soaps should have been provided. The foam dispensors were a bit annoying.

Great staff, great breakfast, great location

The hotel staff is helpful as a friend can be. The hotel is close to many public transport options, markets and restaurants. The rooms are light and covered with Portugese tiles. The handmade breakfast, combined with the roof-top window view of the city, is delicious, filling and rich. Also watch for street parties on Saturdays

The staff were very friendly and helpful! They helped me plan my short weekend in Lisbon and gave me great advice on what to do. I also loved the breakfast there. Everything was home-made and delicious!

Everything was perfect at Ribeira Tejo Boutique Guesthouse. The room was spacious enough and everything in the guesthouse was new. Breakfast was delicious and quite diverse. Location was perfect, a few blocks away from the main shopping area in the Baixo Chiado region, with three metro stations nearby. The staff was the best, very polite and attentive to our every needs. They were all very knowledgeable of everything they were asked for.

We got a comfortable room with a great view of River Tejo. We stayed there for 4 nights and like it a lot. The breakfast is really good and everyone there is so nice and willing to help you. The appartment is on a great location and near to every public transportation you can think of. We're very satisfied with everything there and had a great time.

Wonderful staff, very informative and welcoming. Breakfast much better than your average hotel continental breakfast. Close to Cias do Sodre train station and easily accessed by buses and trams.

Bed was very hard, shower did not have very good water pressure, toilet seat broken slightly, bit of a hike (up a big hill) to the centre. Area was a bit seedy. However we still enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this hotel, the staff just need to do a bit of upkeep on a few things.

Access to transport and city. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable. Authentic. Difficult to get used to cakes as part of breakfast.

Do not be put off by the outward appearances. Yes there is rubbish and drunks in the neighbourhood. We did not feel unsafe in any way.

Initially we were concerned as we did not know what to expect from a guesthouse (at a very low rate) as we booked last minute. However the guest house exceeded our expectations! The staff were really friendly and helpful from the moment of arrival. The rooms were spacious enough for our needs with wooden floorboards and very modern bathrooms. Very good value for money and the staff really look after you! Thank you Ribeira!

If you are late arriving (after 9pm) make sure you know how to get to the hotel as there is no one to pick up the phones.

Wonderful, smiling and attentive staff who helped us with our every request. We've arrived early, at 6, we were given breakfast and some tips what to see before our room is ready. The breakfast and the view from our room was wonderful. The decor is kitschy, but lovably so, the wifi worked well. Should we get back to Lisbon (and we hope we will), we'll return here.

The guesthouse is at a part of town where junkies and drunks gather at dawn to get a final drink after a long night. It didnt bother us , and we didn't feel unsafe, but it was a bit noisy from about 4-6 with the windows open. Then the neighbouring market gets to work, and the area gets absolutely safe again from 6-ish.
